Submissions are no longer counted towards the contest. We will be judging posts asap.
Content Contest!
We would like this forum to become the best place to record all of our findings about Bloodstained and to develop the fan community. SML and I would like to hold a contest to promote this idea.
Time frame: This starts now (Sunday) and will last until Wednesday at 5:00 pm CST. SML and I will then make a decision on a winner.
Rules: In the spirit of gathering, organizing and sharing useful information specific to Bloodstained, the administration staff will judge the top posters of the best content posted. We have already seen some excellent posts. Here are some examples.
Ideas for cheat codes
Confirmed Features
Features discussion
Pyrite Coin: Call to arms
Official Art usefully formatted
These are the things we will consider to be good attributes of a post for this contest;
1. Is this information already on the forums? If not, awesome.
2. How many people have viewed and replied to your topic?
3. Is this a scoop? New information from interviews, updates, videos, etc? This is highly appreciated.
4. Replies on threads count too. We don't want spam though. The value of the reply depends on it's content. Giving your view on what kind of enemy you would like to see in the game is much better than a simple reply of, "Yeah, that's a cool idea." or something similar that doesn't add any real value to the conversation. Letting people know you like their ideas is great, but that's what the "like post" button if for.
5. Cataloging information that has been out for a while totally counts. Linking to articles that show where Iga has talked about the date of the setting or how old Miriam is would be a good example.
6. Sometimes just good conversation can count. Sharing ideas about wanted game features and stuff is very interesting to all of us.
Because this is being judged by two or three people, I'm sure we will be able to come to an agreement about the most valuable posters of this time frame. We want the results to be fair and rewarding. Metafaniel is currently very busy, but SML and I are around.
Rewards:
Option 1: 3 pack Humble Bundle: Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition for the Wii U. Whoa Dave! for 3DS. Mighty Switch Force! for 3DS.
If you aren't familiar with Guacamelee, it's been called the best Metroidvania indi game created. If I had a Wii U I would be playing this right now.
Option 2: $10 Steam gift card. Because not everyone has a Wii U, or 3DS.
1st place gets first pick of one of the options above.
2nd place gets 2nd pick of one of the options above unless Steam was taken (then they get option 1).
3rd place gets 3rd pick of one of the options above unless Steam was taken (then they get option 1).
How will you know if your post was seen and counted? I will "like" your post.
Good luck everyone, and thanks! I hope this friendly competition doesn't promote any kind of negativity, jealousy, or feelings of unappreciation. The intent is exactly the opposite. We want to reward the best contributors to the community.
