Full OST for reference
I personally absolutely love the soundtrack. All composers did a great job and it sounds amazing. I'm curious how the community feels about it and what everyone's favourite tracks are. Let's discuss!
Some of my personal highlights include how they used a fight-version of character themes for their boss fights, the use of 5/4 time in some of Michiru Yamane San's tracks and how fitting the choices of sounds and instruments are for most of the areas the tracks play in. I was also really surprised by many of my favourites being composed by Keisuke Ito. The man clearly understands Castlevania music very well as it shows in his work on Bloodstained.
Cheers to everyone involved with the music in this game. I applaud you all!

Gawd... Like there aren't just too many to even choose from. I think I particularly like high energy tracks like Cursed Orphan and Gears of Fortune, but some of the really Gothic pieces are just amazing too, like how King of Kings really does just scream "final boss" (though I guess that one's pretty high energy too). Even the songs I don't like as much are still fantastic songs. The soundtrack just knocks it out of the park!

anonthemouse Yeah, choosing just a single one as my fav would be impossible haha. That's why you can choose up to 40 in the poll ^^ I also love King of Kings. With those choirs it's just so damn epic. Just sounds huge! One of my personal favs and again, it's one by Keisuke Ito. I quite like cursed orphan too but slightly prefer the original version that was there when the Kickstarter launched since it sounds less noisy and messy. Either way, I would've preferred that as a boss theme rather than an area theme due to its crazy high intensity and fast tempo.

This is easier than it probably should be and it’s fitting that Bloodstained Ritual of the Night’s best song is also called “Ritual of the Night” because that’s hands down the best goddamn song in the entire game.
I’d use any excuse to warp back to the Hall of Termination because of that and the save room below the warp room was my go-to quick save point too because of it.

Aztec Haha and here we were talking about how difficult it would be to single out just one track as the best one! It's a good choice though, I must say I love the metaphor of starting it with a melody reminiscent of the Castlevania Game Over tune. It may be game over for Castlevania but as that ends, Ritual of the Night begins!

I completely agree.
Big fan of O.D's theme and Interred Glory.
Also for 8-bit tracks-- Brave Trigger and Sinister Sign in particular, from Michiru. I'm guessing, albeit not entirely sure if those tracks along with the other 8-bit ones (Except for Valiant Stride and the 8-bit version of Silent Howling) are to be included in the yet-to-be-released Classic Mode.
I was under the impression that Jake "Virt" Kaufman was going to be composing some tracks for that mode, though.

in this particular order.
1- Forgotten Jade. theres something magic to that song that i just can't stop loving it. Nostalgia maybe? or maybe i just love the music themes for water and underground levels when they are composed by Yamane. i love the Lost painting, hidden prison, dark palace of waterfalls and wandering the crystal blue but this one defeated all those.
2- Autumn's Desolation. i don't care if you can't get soy sauce and miso from Dominique. it gives me a perfect excuse to come to this place and listen to that very adictive track.
3- OD theme there is so much class in this theme that is just imposible for me to not wait until it loops before i leave the room
4- Interred Glory at first i didn't like this theme, i was expecting something more egyptian like the "brilliant void" from curse of the moon, but after a lot of Gold and Alkahest farming it reached my soul and i started playing it at work, home and other places. fell in love with it.
5- Holy wisdom dark and gothic. 100% Yamane style. loved it.
6- Repentance holy? unholy? Its payback time!
7- Surpassing Grief. SO dark. this theme is so strange. it feels like you coud use it for almost everything that involves sadness or tragedy. Its like Guile's Theme. IT GOES WITH EVERYTHING (as long as it is sad)
a bit frustrated with myself because i remember i kept telling to myself that gears of fortune was going to be my favorite IGAVANIA theme ever! HOW WRONG WAS I? i like Gears of Fortune but it is forgetable. Perhaps i got tired of it, or maybe it is the fact that i find the tower of the twin dragons to be boring? meh.

I was under the impression that Jake "Virt" Kaufman was going to be composing some tracks for that mode, though. Yep, this also has me a bit confused. Don't get me wrong I think that the 8-Bit tracks we got sound great but it's weird that he apparently didn't actually end up making any of them and that they never communicated anything like that publicly.

I enjoy the entire soundtrack but Theme of Tamako caught my attention the most (Cause it felt like the beginning of a boss fight/guilty gear music) It also entranced me to the point I took a blast of fire to the face lol.

I would have loved to have seen Virt's take on Bloodstained in 8-Bit style. I highly enjoy listening to his FX4 and FX3 (Remastered) albums, among his many works, and find myself impressed by his flexibility. Maybe he was too involved with other projects? Although I couldn't imagine he would decline such an opportunity without good reason.
These 8-Bit tracks are nice, and well varied in how they sound. My only wish is that there were more of them.

Ha. The moment I encountered Tamako, was the moment in which I decided I would farm and upgrade that shard and use it for the remainder of my playthrough. Well, most of it... I have no regrets!

This board is not nearly big enough to justify so many sub forums and categories. We should have two sections: everything Bloodstained related, and off-topic. That’s it. There’s literally no reason why this thread couldn’t have gone in the General bloodstained discussion forum and because it’s on a folder no one ever thinks about checking out (honestly didn’t know there was a Music folder here until this thread was shouted in the Shoutbox).

I don’t get why we need this many sub forums it’s ridiculous. Back in NeoGAF’s prime (perhaps the biggest game forums there has ever been) had only 4 (FOUR) subsections: Games, Off-topic, and two other sections; one for the Official Threads about a game in particular and another for off topic official threads. That’s it. Why does a tiny forum dedicated to ONE game like this needs these many folders?
