Is it reasonable to ask my 'back pack' platform be changed?

I originally packed the Vita, it was cancelled, then changed to the Switch and received and and like many people was appalled at the quality of the port in comparison to the other platforms. So I bit the bullet and within hours of playing, ordered the Xbox version of the game.
That's fine, I accept that I shouldn't have paid for a game over 4 years before it's release date and I've taken responsibility for that and gone and given the developer/publisher *more* money by buying a second copy of the game (And not re-selling the Switch version). All I ask is that I don't miss out on the backer-exclusive content, I've emailed and asked for a 'backpack' code for xbox and for my switch code to be removed (I have not 'revealed' it) but I'm not holding my breath.
On an unrelated note I actually had to make a second nintendo account on my switch just to activate my 'Curse of the Moon' code because the publisher also stuffed up the code-issuing for my region when that game was released.
