Kickstarter Update #92
While it's been exciting to watch Bloodstained land on the rest of the world with all the force of (to use a common expression) a gigantic demon castle, there's still plenty on the way for backers who've been with us from the start. Today we have some shipping updates, news on your digital backer rewards, and more, so let's get started.
First, we've got a look at the slipcase that will house your Alchemist's Treasure rewards (along with your physical copy of the game). We figured the most important part of this reward would be designing around Ayami Kojima's incredible art, which is front and center:
(The slipcase is open on one side to hold your game, soundtrack, and the other Alchemist's Treasure rewards—you're looking at the spine in both of these images.)
We've also got an update on your digital rewards—they'll be arriving later today! As soon as they're ready to go you'll find them on your survey page. (Remember—if you don't have that link handy, you can get it back on our survey support page. If you're in a tier that includes your name in the credits, you can also get your Backer ID there; go to "Change or Upgrade Tiers" and look for the number following KICKBLOODSTAINED, and make sure to include the pound sign.)
Digital copies for Asia-region PS4 backers are being loaded onto survey pages now! Physical PS4 copies for the Asia region have just arrived in our Asia warehouse and are being packed and processed. Backers will receive an email as soon as their game is shipped.
We apologize for the delay; the territory-specific difficulties were much larger than we anticipated. Thank you for your patience while we get this resolved.
Hey everyone, Igavania is now officially back, but the journey hasn’t been without its share of challenges along the way, and as Iga recently said, we still have work to do. As a way of saying thank you, all digital and physical backers $60 and above will receive the digital soundtrack.
Backers at the $60 digital tier, as well as all backers at $100+ tiers, will now also be receiving a PDF version of the art book.
We're also pleased to announce that the backer-edition soundtrack is available in FLAC as well as MP3, created from the CD soundtrack masters. We heard your feedback on this. (No pun intended.)
Speaking of goodies, we'll also be distributing keys for the Bloodstained dynamic theme “Miriam’s Gaze” to all PS4 digital and physical backers today for free. North America and Europe PS4 backers should see them on their survey page in the next couple of hours.
We've got a couple more bonuses just for backers that we'll announce when your physical rewards are ready to ship.
Recent development update: ArtPlay and WayForward are still working very diligently and making great progress for resolving the chest bug and releasing the ‘Iga’s Back Pack’ DLC on consoles as well as improving the Switch version of the game.
Although we wanted to announce more updates this week, the team has been completely dedicated to the actual dev work, so now that the work is proceeding at a strong pace, we’re taking some time to confirm a concrete plan for the short and long-term future while they’re hard at work. We anticipate being able to share more updates on these three topics next week, we all appreciate your patience while we make sure we’re tackling these issues correctly.
Last but certainly not least, we have an update on the delay in Japan (JP) that will hopefully alleviate the inconvenience for JP backers.
The public launch of Bloodstained is now targeted for September 2019 with publishing partner “Game Source Entertainment."
To make sure our Japan backers can play as soon as possible, Fangamer will be sending a survey to all Japan digital and physical backers, allowing them to choose a North American (NA) digital copy of the game instead of waiting for their JP version in September.
This is a breakdown of the options that will be offered.
$28 digital JP can be changed to $28 digital NA (base game)
$60+ digital JP can be changed to $60+ digital NA (game plus digital extras)
$60+ physical JP can be changed to $60+ digital NA (game plus digital extras)
Once we have a final tally of how many JP backers would like to take advantage of this offer, we'll move forward to produce and send out their NA-region codes. We have a very limited time to accept survey answers, so watch your mailboxes—Fangamer will be sending you more information later today.
Finally we've seen some confusion regarding the use and implementation of Backer IDs in the game, so here's a quick explanation.
1. On a new or existing save, open the "Option" menu.
2. From the list of available options, select "Backer ID"
3. Input the Backer ID provided in your survey page, making sure to include the # at the start.
4. If you were in a tier with the "Credit Clan" option, this will load your Backer Name and Clan.
That's it for today's update—thank you to everyone for your support and patience, and we're looking to announce more soon.
