Arcueid was the first on these forums to explain the issue.
The "Money is Power" shard boosts your stats according to how much money you have BUT Valefor uses this very same money as health points !
How much time could it take to kill him with max gold ?
Let's say you got 9.999.999 gold.
With my build, i can kill a Revenant, 6666 HP, in 4 seconds max.
9.999.999/6666 = 1500 Revenant's HP
4 seconds per Revenant :
1500 x 4s = 6000s = 100 min
It could take 1 hour 40 min to beat it with my current build if i got 10 million gold !?

Not so sure, there is a delay when you use a conjure shard preventing the abuse of spamming.
Moreover, i don't know what is the max gold possible (999.999.999 ?) and what is the convert ratio of Valefor's trick (1 gold /1 hp, 10 gold/1 hp, 100 gold/1 hp, etc... ?).

Unfortunately, Valefor caps out at 99,999 hp which is still 10 times more than the super-bosses. The whole fight took me about two minutes and a quarter (2:12 to be precise) with full diamond bullet+recycle hat+invert+timstop abuse to successfully no hit. It could probably be shaved down to 2 minutes with proper optimization and not going for a no hit run like my dumb ass
I'd post the video of me doing it but the recording bugged out and it now needs a seizure warning.
