PC. Consoles are limited by specs and are more of a hassle to update. PC isn't.

PC is almost always the superior technical choice for multiplat games. Unless the game has a bad port (which, unfortunately, is frequently the case for japanese ports of some companies like Koei Tecmo) and/or you don't own a gaming PC, there's no reason to not play a multiplatform game on PC.

It’s obvious that it’s going to be PC. I don’t even own a gaming PC or the PC version of Bloodstained and I know that’s the truth.
For what it’s worth I’ve been playing on a base PS4 and other than a long initial load, long load times after everytime I die (which in Hard first playthrough it has happened far too many times), and a few seconds of loading between screens when going back to the safe haven with Johannes and Dominique I think this is a very good port of the game. It looks and plays just as good as any footage I’ve seen with the exception to some longer loading screens compared to PC.
I wonder if these read times are the same or shorter on a PS4 Pro though.
PS: I have no reason to believe it’s any different on Xbox. And if you don’t have access to a gaming PC you’re goong to be perfectly fine on PS4 and XB1. It’s only on Switch there are significant issues that should be put up with only if a Switch is your only option.

In my experience, even bad ports are usually sorted out by the community ( Dark Souls being a strong example) as long as the game is popular enough. That said, I will note a conspicuous exception. I picked up One Piece: Pirate Warrios 3 on Steam. It has a framerate problem where it drops one frame every ... 40 frames or something (I'd have to double-check). There's nothing that can be done about it. Pretty distracting. It's a tough choice between the (probably) solid framerate of the PS4 version of that game, and the 4K60 I can get on Steam. The community probably could fix the issue but obviously a game like that isn't going to inspire the same level of interest as Dark Souls. |

In which aspect are we talking? Generally I say it's the platform that lets the person play it that's the best platform. It's the one that the individual gets to enjoy the game from.

I suspect the OP meant to take that for granted. Might as well also qualify, "The one that doesn't randomly self-detonate while you're playing it."
Objectively, however, you can't knock playing the thing at a rock solid 60fps in 4K, with the lower-input-lag setting on. My vote would go to that.

I've been playing for 20 hours on a base PS4 and, *knocks on wood*, have never experienced a single crash. A few droppped frames here and there (hardly anything very noticeable) and some few seconds of loading between some screens but nothing that bad. I also never played the game before the 1.02 update was out so maybe that helped. Is the Xbox One already enjoying the "day one" patch? Last I heard they were delaying it to avoid the treasure glitch. Did they release that yet? Im not talking about the 1.0.0.4 patch that only had some localization stuff. |

I don't see a point to this thread. Everyone should understand how the console and PC dynamic works. The best way to play is what you have and like, what you can afford, and what is good enough for you to enjoy.
