Start with luck, get the plunderer's ring at the Boat, use the kung fu shoes to get to it. The moves gives ability to kind of fly in the air for a bit. From there just kill monster till you get to about level 10 to 20 depending on what difficulty. Some monster or sections will give Miriam more leveling up points. On monsters with high level point find their weakness attribute, and on sections use a weapon with high damage, like the Deathbringer. Use the Harpe sword(when you get the shard for the sword level up and club power it up). You will have money to buy the Deathbringer and level up. Power up the great sword shard, Make sure you eat food atleast one time it gives you bonus points. Bring your LUCK UP fast. Get the welcome company and level up.When.you get to the library kill the book demon Dantallion and use him ALL the time as a FAMILIAR, all other suck since they do not attack constantly. Dantallion gives Miriam power and if you level him up it gives Miriam even more power. Try to level up the yellow shards often as they can become a permanent attribute. When you fight the bosses, use attack and defense accessories, keep those almost equally with a little more attack power depending on difficulty. Use welcome family alot, when is the level is max rank and grade is the best, with the Dantallion active it can become deadly. When you get the shadow tracers level up quickly. I think that Shadow tracers is the best since it can multiply the hit up to 3 times. If your attack power is at 300 and the 3 shadow tracers are used and placed correctly each hit gives 1200 famage per each attack(take that crissagream).
My build for Strength is:919 attack/96 luck
Eternal Blue Demon Horns Coronation Gown Solomon's Ring Silver Power Over the Rainbow Max Great Ax shard Max Optimizer All Books equiped Familiar Dantallion Max Max Welcome Company Max Shadow Tracers
My Build for Luck is: 125 Luck/758 attack
Eternal Blue RIBBON SOLOMON'S RIMG GAMBLER'S RING OVER THE RAINBOW Max Augment Luck Shard Pretty much what you see on my Strength Build
I am at level 99(limit) with all foods eaten. Shadow Tracers Multiplies attack by 3, lol.

My tips for OP Miriam Summon Hellhound Skull Necklace Gebel's Glasses
or
Adrasteia Diamond Bullets Recycle Hat
All passive shards maxed, double red remembrance if you want to go crazy with stats. Weapons are capped at 999 but magic can go as high as it wants.

Speaking about making Miriam OP I was wondering if the Silver Power Ring has a limit. I was hoping it would be like the Masamune from SotN but using demons killed rather than blood, however, I think the ring caps at 48 Atk on each ring. I got something like 20,000 demons slayed and the ring only has +48. It's still a great boost to attack don't get me wrong, but was wondering if I would be wasting my time to try and raise my kill count more if it caps at +48.

Also the Gold Power Ring caps at 1 million gold and gives better stats than Silver Power Ring.

The plunderer's ring isn't there anymore post update for me (PS4). I was able to get it on the boat pre patch, but after I heard about the chest bug, I started a new game and the ring isn't in that particular chest anymore. (the chest you can kick your way to in the beginning) Does anyone know where it's at now post update?

Basically any gun you can make by the time you have access to Diamond Bullets and the Recycle Hat will be OP. Doubly so if you have Gebel's Glasses and master Rapid Fire.
That's talking endgame, though, where most builds can be made OP. Early game, building Luck can indeed be very powerful, especially as it increases your odds of getting item drops in each area that can push your build to the next level. Some items to look out for would be the Spiral Sword in the Entrance areas, which has a unique effect of hitting multiple times (I think at most I've seen damage tick four times in one swing), and Rhava Búral in the Cathedral, which is essentially a weaker Crissagream and gets an endgame upgrade (save your duplicates). In late-game areas, be on the lookout for Flame Mail, which is one of the best damage-boosting armours. Until you get it, a good alternative is the Assassin's Vest, which while not offering as high of stats as Flame Mail boasts a boost to overall attack speed. Also make sure to get a Ribbon hat, which is tied with a missable hidden item in the second to last area for the highest luck bonus of any headgear (and only sacrifices two points of defence from that item) as well as being the most protective headgear that drops from an enemy. Ribbons can be obtained at around the midpoint of the game, and will see a lot of use.
As far as familiars, I'd actually advise the Carabosse fairy over Dantallion. It may see a reduction in attack power, but Carabosse is able to point out hidden areas, and can be supplied with special healing items that it will use on you automatically, and which have their own max item count so that you aren't cutting into the limit of potions you yourself can carry (although for manual healing, some food items will probably be better and stack higher).

To add to how OP guns are, there is a hat called "Gunslinger's Hat" which doubles the ammo cost and damage output of guns. To put things into perspective, every weapon in the game is capped by the Weapon Atk stat of 999, meaning all weapons will deal the same amount of damage if they can reach that stat. Guns are the only weapons in the game as far as I'm aware that has an equip that doubles its damage, effectively breaking the damage cap. They try to balance this with the ammo system but at endgame, you'll have enough money to buy however many bullets you want, and if you play NG+ a lot, capacity upgrades will make ammo a nonissue.
Only magic can compete with guns because even at around 400 INT, your strongest magic attack will be dealing around 7k damage. I can't imagine how high the damage would be if you could somehow reach 999 INT.
