I can handle the worse graphics and lower resolution compared to other platforms. What I can't handle is the input delay.
Can we get some official explanation about the Switch version's input delay? Obviously it's not my TV settings, because the Switch has its own screen, and the problem is the same there.
Are there any plans to do anything about it?
I'm very disappointed that, even if this gets fixed in a patch later, the base cartridge I have will forever only contain an unplayable version. This is a game that requires an internet connection to even play.
So if this does get fixed later, would it be possible to make a new batch of Switch cartridges with patches included?

People playing it before the launch day patch are going to have problems. It's pretty much an all in one that addresses most of the core issues.
Getting it out is the reason the Switch version was delayed.
EDIT: Just got my copy and it seems the launch patch is live.

That same one? Did this patch fix what OP’s complaining about?

I’m on PS4 and an internet connection is not required. I mean the game is even on GOG, it doesn’t make sense they’d make put online only DRM only on Switch.

I’m on PS4 and an internet connection is not required. I mean the game is even on GOG, it doesn’t make sense they’d make put online only DRM only on Switch. I think he is talking about needing to download updates in order for the game to reach a playable state, but disregarding that I found something that actually makes the game require an internet connection. You need a Nintendo Account to launch the game. If one isn't tied to the profile you use to launch the game, it asks you to link one. If you cancel out of that prompt without linking or making one it drops you back out to the Switch's home screen. After you have a Nintendo Account linked to your profile you can play as normal. While I haven't had the input delay problems he is mentioning, or at least I haven't noticed much input delay; I do share his opinion that a final cart with all the patches and updates would be a good idea, preferable with the Nintendo Account requirement removed as well. As it is now, the cart is useless to anyone that can't connect to the internet at least once; which is a reason some might be buying a physical copy to begin with. It also kills any notion of buying the game physically for preservation purposes. Once Nintendo closes their servers for the Switch, the game will be unplayable on any Switch that didn't connect to them at least once and still has their account info saved to it. This is the first game I've run into like this.

Some people have been wanting to see how the Switch version of the game stacks up so I figured I would post the first 40 minutes. Visuals could be better but it runs well and is very much playable. There is none of the input lag the OP mentioned. Though I did update it before I started.

The perceived input lag is likely at least in part due to the game running at 30 fps - it simply can't update Miriam's actions as fast as you can input them, since updates occur in 32 milisecond intervals, as opposed to 16 milisecond intervals for 60 fps.

30fps games were the norm for decades so I never noticed. I guess if you are a kid and all you have ever played is 60fps it might seem like input lag.

The loading time between rooms is fine/equal to PS4 I think and it even seemed to start the game faster (new game loading up the first conversation with Johannes). As long as it feels fine, seems okay to me...and I actaully like how it's darker, I felt like the other versions were a bit bright.

30fps games were the norm for decades so I never noticed. I guess if you are a kid and all you have ever played is 60fps it might seem like input lag. Actually, 16 bit games normally ran at 60 fps, so to speak. Everytime the screen was refreshed, your input was reflected on screen, provided it was read during the game loop. 30fps became the norm when the shift to 3D occurred, but for genres such as fighting and racing games, it was always 60 fps (Soul Edge being the only exception I can think of), precisely because you wanted to read the input buffer as soon as possible. This does not mean there was no input lag - there always is, even at 60 fps - just that 30fps can exacerbate the problem, especially for some games.

I am about to get very insulting of most mainstream game producing companies.
When 3D first came out, they pretty much never had a framerate limitation. But that is because they were designed with PC first back then. But as time went on, the needed frame limitations of consoles have been enforced more and more. With games being designed for console first and changes for PC being incredibly limited, even PC games have those framerate limitations now, even though it is not needed. They just never make UI or engine changes for the MUCH stronger and varied PCs. They are being lazy and idiotic.
I have stopped playing games that are made for console first. This came about after I tried playing Darksiders and it being so bad on its UI and controls that it was unplayable for me.
All that said, they have posted that they are changing plans to fix the Switch problems:
