The in-game menu could stand to have several improvements:
Item Order: what we most need to get to fast is inventory. It should be on top. Might also want to separate out things you are using in combat (ie potions) from things you are looking at only in town (like food ingredients).
Sorting: any type of sorting other than by broadest categories would be handy. Weapon type, weapon range, Weapon swing speed, ammo or no ammo, search for elements or damage types, sort highest to lowest on a certain stat, etc.
Quests: please put the quests in active, finished, undiscovered order. Having them in an arbitrary order you have to scroll through to try to find what you are currently doing gets annoying fast.
Archives: Entries for Techniques from bookshelves should be separate and not mixed in with lore stuff in journal, and should be marked (ie already have this, haven't done this yet, etc.).
Mini-map: current interface is super awkward. Use of analog sticks is awkward, map center is awkward (although might make more sense later), default zoom is too far out. Also make accessible from inside the main menu. Add more information and a key to it.
Need more notification of things done (quest finished, harvest ready, etc.).
A lot is not clear. What do the icons on the weapons mean? The phrasing of many shards or shard upgrades are unclear/undefined. What is "coverage" and do I want to increase it? Is a high potion worth more than 5 potions and by how much (how much HP do they give back? right now just "some" and "more")?
