Let us all sail aboard the speculation train and try to guess this shady character’s look and backstory. Who has the most creative ideas given the few hints we’re provided until further update/release? 1) You can find the Mysterious Man’s silhouette here: bloodstained.fandom.com/wiki/Mysterious_Man2) The character is voiced by both the english and japanese voice of Alucard in “Castlevania - Symphony of the Night” 3) The character might be related to Gebel in some way. Am saying he's Alucard just to get it out of the way. Could they be sued for that? Though I also wonder if they could have dlc outfits later on that "resemble" Alucard, Shanoa, Succubus, and other past igavania character skins also without being hit for copyright.

Gebel in Curse of the Moon IS essentially Alucard from Dracula's Curse so far as gameplay goes but hes a different character so it's cool... As for Alucard himself, much like Dracula, Alucard is an open domain character he was first introduced in the Universal movie Son of Dracula back in the 40's I believe and was played by Lon Chaney Jr., as long as IGA and company made him unique they could still use a character called Alucard legally. Having said that they are not gonna bring a Alucard or Dracula or Death into Bloodstained... or rather I doubt and hope they don't. Death could be a possible exception since he's so universal of a concept anyways.

This is all true, open domain charcters can be used in any medium as long as they are different enough that people can't say they stole their take on that characters likeness. I on the other hand hope they do include Alucard and Dracula in the Bloodstained series. However, I think they can fit in as possibly side characters or super bosses that are not story related. Like Overlord Zetta or Overlord Baal is in the Disgaea franchise or Galamoth was to the Castlevania franchise. Just super bosses that can be found and fought, but not story related.
Obviously, hoping Alucard becomes a bonus character that is different enough or an Alucard like character. I just don't want to say bloodstained wont ever have Dracula or Death or Medusa or whatever just because some other similar franchise used that character already. I will be more interesting to see these characters remade in new ways.
If they choose to not include a Dracula or whoever now, I hope they consider remaking a version of him and other older monsters in future titles because I do want this to become a series and Konami doesn't own Dracula.

I really want to see as many classic creatures from myth and folklore as I can. I can't imagine that Konami owns copyrights to Vampires like Dracula, Lady Bathory, The Mummy/wolfman/swamp monster/Medusa/Gorgons, Titans, Gryffins, goblens, bull demons, ect.
Anything and everything. They do not have to act and look exactly the same as the Castlevania versions, but I do hope they are all there in a way that keeps konami off Iga's back.

I imagine the closest we're gonna get to Dracula is the Koji Igarashi boss fight. Throw in some lore about him being a Vampire from the East, and just give him Dracula's first phase form.
Now for the Mysterious Man, I think they're playing very on the nose about the fact it's an Alucard-like figure. If his hair was white, for example, that would be Alucard in different clothing. I have no reason to believe Igarashi has character rights, so I'm curious to this characters original lore.

Alucard won't be related to Bloodstained though. Alucard is part of Castlevania, related to it. He is seen on Netflix.
Mysterious Man, an alt costume of Gebel, according to Pure Miriam's 3rd playable character vote, he's got most votes. That is what, by meaning he had black hair before it turned white, he had blue/black clothes before it became red-and-black and had a pale skin before he got red magi-crystal infection. (But no, not the man with blonde hair, red clothes and glasses).
