That would be really awesome. I admit to being immature, and jelly of people who can just go right out to gamestop at opening time and be playing within the hour, or even early if it's a 24 hour walmart.

A global release is a nightmare to figure. The closer you are to the last telephone pole, the more issues that can arise.
This is something I know so intimately it would make you pull your hair out if I explained it since I work in the LTL freight business.

Oh yeah for sure. But this is a Kickstarter for a videogame filled with entitled, impatient gamers (this place thankfully doesn’t have many of these). I can see the shitstorm of whining because they’ll never understand the complications of a worldwide launch of a game in 4 different platforms. I’ve said it before, I do not expect my physical copy at my door on launch day and that’s ok. I won’t even check if it came for the first 5 days and that’s ok. But if it hasn’t arrived by the 7th day (aka a full week) I would begin to get really worried. I’ve waited 4 years, I can wait 5 more days. Sadly I don’t think it’ll be the case for many gamers out there who don’t understand how the world works. |

Not gonna look for it, but I recollect they are indeed targeting an arrival on the day of release. @bloodymiri I saw you ask about this again in the shoutbox and wanted to confirm again here in case you missed what I said there - yes, Mr. Welldone is right, they're targeting backer copies arriving on the release dates. As mentioned in the update and articles, it will be different depending on regions, but North America should have no problems we know of. |
