Well, it came out of nowhere! I knew a hosting provider transfer was going to happen eventually, but not even exactly what week. Honestly, I thought it already HAD happened. You see, this was supposed to be a "seamless switch" between two hosting companies that ProBoards owns. ProBoards has some limitations and expensive ad removal fees. Their other company Forums.net has much better plans, and most importantly after a 6 month contract with Forums.net for hosting, Team IGA will have the option to host anywhere they need to and break away from ProBoards/Forums.net completely while still keeping the user database and all our posts intact. There should be all sorts of new functionality available, but I can only affect the old ProBoards admin stuff, not the Forums.net back end stuff. Such is the reason I can slap a fast fix on why our BloodstainedFanForums.com will not direct here. Thanks to the ease of communication with the awesome folks at Playism, I have updated the name servers for that URL and it should point here within 24 hours of this post. Hopefully everyone will return! I will assume that anyone who was really curious would check the KickStarter comments section to figure out how to get here. I hate that such a thing is necessary though.
I feel an enormous pressure. I love this place and have worked hard to maintain a quality meeting ground for us fans. The URL wasn't working for 2 hours before I even knew about it. I was really busy at work, and was meeting some urgent customer needs while also trying to figure out what I could do to fix the URL problem. Knowing that the URL will not be properly directing for a while makes me feel pretty bad, but honestly I've done all I can for now. Thank you for being patient while we make this transition. Should Team IGA ever wish to switch away from forums.net as a host, the URL we usually use can be redirected and we may have to deal with another DNS propagation at that time. That is at least 6 months away (if ever) and should be announced well before hand so people know what to expect. You can be certain that a server wipe would never happen, and that your posts and user accounts are forever safe!
It appears that our fonts are a little funky after the switch. I can work on that tomorrow. I'm not sure what else might be messed up, so if you notice anything please bring it to my attention.
This game is going to be amazing. Right now we can focus on the community more than the game because we have limited info about it. This community is amazing. Like I've said many times: This forum is nothing without it's members. Thank you, everyone.
