Thought I should finally create my first thread here, so here goes! Bloodless would be really cool to not only play as in Boss Revenge mode, but also as a playable character with her own complete game play scenario and a broad, expanded move set. So let's say that we here are tasked to design some new move for playable Bloodless: what would YOU design?How would the controller/joystick/keyboard/d-pad input + button combination(s) go in order to execute your move? Optional follow-up question: Would this move have a long windup to execution to fast recovery? Or instead a fast windup to execution to long recovery? Or neither? To start off, here is my idea. I call it Rising Blood Hibashi: It's pretty much self-explanatory to some extent One other detail not mentioned in my extremely-quick rough sketch there is that even though she has some durations of vulnerability at both windup and recovery, her attack at execution state is quite powerful (as indicated by the stars). So, what is your idea for a playable Bloodless move? Post below!

I'd go for something I'd like to call "Bloody Tether".
It functions almost like a "whip" attack, but once it hits an enemy (that can bleed), you hold the button down for the tether to latch onto them and continuously drain HP in order to heal Bloodless.

Let me give my two cents here. In my view, the extra characters will / should play a bit close to how Miriam plays. Using more or less the same inputs, although in a whole different system, of course. I'm sure Bloodless will be playable at Boss Revenge Mode but i don't believe Bloodless will be playable outside that mode, but, let's speculate. How i would do that (using XBOX controller layout): X: Umbrella melee attack. Y: Blood Arrow (Bloodless throws a straight blood bullet / arrow / shot of sorts) (low MP cost) A: Jump / Double Jump / slowly falls down using her Umbrella (by holding A). RIGHT Analog Stick + RT: Blood Tornado (Bloodless throws that Blood tornado and you can control it's direction, as if it was a Directional Shard) (Moderate MP cost) RB: Summon Umbrella (Bloodless summons a Umbrella a bit higher than herself where you can step on. You can combine that with jump and double jump to keep going up). (minimal MP cost) LB: Backstep. LT: Blood Rain (Bloodless summons her signature move where rains blood at the whole screen). (High MP cost) Inputs: DOWN, DOWN FOWARD, FOWARD + Y: Umbrella Toss (If there is a summoned Umbrella at the screen, Bloodless commands it to go flying towards an enemy). (Moderate MP cost) BACK, FOWARD, BACK, FOWARD + Y: Blood Heal (Bloodless absorbs blood from the screen (that blood that spurs in the walls and such when you kill enemies) and that move heals herself. (Highest MP cost) That's all i could think of. Hope you liked. Random beautiful fanart.

IF Bloodless were to become playable, I think the best place to look for inspiration would be from the premiere (IMO) umbrella user in videogames: Parasoul from Skullgirls! This link here has an archive of I believe all of her action animations. I'm not going to map out a moveset to specific button presses and combinations but she uses her Parasol of Pain akin to an epee sword (mostly, she mixes in other real and fictional sword styles) and I think it's a style that would fit Bloodless well. Parasoul also has a variety of more spectacular special moves derived from magic and tech that Bloodless could also take inspiration from (dat blood).

Pure Miriam Yoinked that artwork faster than this game got funded, lol. Still holding out hope for a new Alura, though. crocodile That would be an interesting moveset for Bloodless. I had been thinking along the lines of her magic working similar to Bayonetta's, myself. Not enough umbrella weapon users, though.
