So I had an interesting thought. The Smash Bros. Ultimate main theme song was composed by Noisycroak, the same group helping Yamane with the composition of Ritual of the Night.
The "sound team" for Smash was noted to be big fans of Castlevania, and so 37 tracks were chosen for inclusion (and 13 remixes iirc), which leads me to wonder - is the sound team/composer of those remixes Noisycroak? It just adds up so well. They're also using a lot of Despair songs, which a now-employee of that company worked on with Konami when he was there (it might have been Judgment instead they worked on? One of the two).
In conclusion, I think that this is the case, and the quality of the Smash remixes might be an indication or insight on the quality of the main Bloodstained game's music.

Thirty-four, purifyweirdshard . Thirty-five if you count the victory fanfare music. You're right about the number of remixed tracks, though. As to "composers," they're up on the SSB wiki here. Of those listed, the Stalker/Wicked Child medley, Out of Time, and Divine Bloodlines had arrangement supervisors from noisycroak (Hideki Sakamoto for the first and Yasushi Asada for the other two). |

And as to your connection to Castlevania, it was indeed Judgment where Hideki Sakamoto was the music director (for which four of the original tunes in Smash Ultimate are taken - Dance of Illusions, Dracula's Castle, Mad Forest, and Vampire Killer). He's also responsible for Lifelight, the Main Theme in versions both used and unused, among other arrangements and compositions. Heck, he's currently listed as the overall composer on Wikipedia (I imagine that's definitely untrue, though - the only other Smash game with a single composer was the first). |

Brainiac, actually the remix of Dracula's Castle used in Smash Ultimate is the Harmony of Despair version, not the Judgement version.

Well, the Castlevania Shrine account that had all of the tracks up was found and destroyed by the Ninty Cops, so here's the other one I found (which does specify, so you might be suspicious):
You can judge (heh) for yourself with these comparisons of the Judgment and HD versions.
