While this isn't exactly a gaming Kickstarter it is gaming and comic book related so I thought I should do a post talking about it in case it might interest some of you. I recently came across this Kickstarter for D.C. based metal band A Sound of Thunder's latest album "Shadowman: Tales from the Deadside", which was inspired and based around the latest incarnation (2012-present) of the Shadowman comic book character. For those who are not familiar with the Shadowman comics they were created by Valiant Comics in the early 90's and were basically about a New Orleans Jazz Musician named Jack Boniface who one night meets a mysterious woman who leaves him with a mysterious (voodoo?) mark on his body that ends up turning him into a (Voodoo?) spirit that hunts the reanimated corpses of the dead (that were resurrected by a Voodoo Necromancer named Master Darque) once night falls. The comic books were so successful that the story was adapted into video game form by Acclaim Entertainment in 1999 for the Playstation, Dreamcast, PC, and N64. The game was successful enough despite mixed reviews to garner a sequel (Shadow Man: Second Coming) a few years later for the PS2. An interesting little side note here that (kinda) ties into Bloodstained, A Sound of Thunder's previous album (which was funded via Kickstarter) was called "The Lesser Key of Solomon" which (if I remember correctly) is the name of the book that the monsters of Bloodstained are being based upon. If you are curious about the band you can view the music video for Udoroth (from A Sound of Thunder's "The Lesser Key of Solomon" album) here or visit their website hereIf you are interested you can visit the Shadowman:Tales from the Deadside Kickstarter here

Looks interesting. Glad to see the campaign reached its goal! Plus, it reminds me I have the PC version of Shadowman in my backlog and I need to get around to playing it.
