I'll be posting my Bloodstained DS remakes in this thread, others are free to post theirs
I use a program called VGMTrans to extract soundfonts from the DS Castlevanias
I convert the songs to MIDI in FL Studio after I'm done working on it for anyone who wants to make their own remixes, but they're not exactly easy to use. Automation clips in FL don't convert to MIDI and neither do the soundfonts, so you pretty much only get note data on a bunch of midi channels set to 1

Thanks for the replies. I can't update youtube videos so I went ahead and made a new one for Luxurious Overture. The updated MIDI's in the description
This'll probably be the last song I do from the demo's music. I don't think any of the other ones translate very well to a DS soundfont. Also, something strange with the demo's music that I noticed, they're all pitched down a quarter tone for some reason. I dunno if it's some weird encoding issue they had or if it was intentional, but it was an extra step I had to take to correct it
I'd like to do Gears of Fortune next, once they release a full version of it

I bet you're right about it being an encoding or perhaps rendering issue, considering a lot of what we're hearing is live instruments which I'm sure tuned to A440. I hope the full game doesn't have this issue. I like to transcribe game music and it would be sort of annoying to have to alter my tuning. Not to mention it may discourage similar efforts to what you've already done. Superb work on the DS soundfonts! Listening harkened a nice nostalgic feeling. Curious, what is your favorite DS song from a CV game? Not sure it's my favorite but I always liked the chapel theme that played at Vincent's shop in PoR. It's really a neat little melody that sort of panders around the circle of fourths.

I was able to change the pitch of the song in FL Studio and work from there so it wasn't too much extra effort, but still strange. Reminds me of another technical error I noticed in the Lost Odyssey soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu, which has a ringing at around 16khz that's especially noticeable when the string sections come in on some songs like Demonic Infringement. Good to know I'm still young enough to hear that frequency clearly
For my favorite CV DS song, it's really hard to say but Vincent's shop theme is up there, like my top 10. I like Yuzo Koshiro's work in Gears go Awry and Dance of Sadness, and Yasuhiro Ichihashi's Ebony Wings from OoE. But just barely beating others, my favorite would be Gaze Up at the Darkness from PoR just cause it was also in Harmony of Despair and I played a ton of that game

holykrap Wow - I wonder if anyone else noticed that ringing in the Lost Odyssey soundtrack!? I like to hear there are fans who give credit and recognize the composers of music from games. I believe their names are often lost in the shuffle. Yet if you take away the music, the game would hardly stand up! Gaze Up was one of my favorites as well. In Harmony of Despair, I don't remember if it was part of the DLC music or if it was the original choice for Ch. 4... Either way, I really enjoyed being able to change the music for those levels in the settings menu. It definitely made farming those gold chests more interesting

I've been able to play some Bloodstained and there's definitely that distinct Michiru Yamane sound in some of the tracks, they sound straight out of a DS Castlevania. I'd love to do a few of them when I have the time

It's a great soundtrack, I'm just a tad sad that Blasphemy Unto Heaven didn't make it in. But then, that's my fav track from CotM, lol. Look forward to hearing some remixes from RotN.

Well it's been a year and I've been slacking! I did a little bit of a song from RotN, lost the video files and then motivation to complete it, turning these remakes into a "when I have time, when I feel like it" kinda thing Curse of the Moon 2 is excellent and I decided to remake the music from stage 3. It's not really the style you'd hear from Michiru Yamane, and you can tell it's been written with less sound channels than something from a DS, bnt I really like the rhythm and wanted to try making it anyway
