Hello there,
I have just finished playing this demo and I am loving it so far. Here are my current list of feedback points.
• Johannes just vanishes out of existence after the cutscene where he and Dominique find a secure area to set up shop in the village. Anne and Dominque walk away just fine, but Johannes just *blips* into nothingness. It looks really weird and jarring so this should be fixed so he actually walks into the next room on the right.
• The crafting menu should have an option to sort by what is currently craftable. It is time consuming to look through the list manually to do this.
• As everyone else has probably already noticed the lip-syncing needs to be improved, especially for Miriam as mouths are NOT meant to work like that. The voice acting so far though is stellar so keep that up.
• After handing in a quest to Lindsay and receiving the reward item, it does not show in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. This should probably be added because I had to check my inventory to see if I had actually gotten it.
• The volume of the attacking sounds Miriam makes really overpowers the rest of the sounds, even when I set voices to the lowest setting. This should be turned down a little.
• The trees in Artantville just before the drawbridge are a bit too shiny given there is no rain. Also I know this will probably be fixed later on, but the branches are graphically low res and don’t actually stick to the tree trunk properly at times.
• When viewing the map screen you should be able to cancel out of it by pressing ‘B’ button or its equivalent as well as the select button as well. Would make it more intuitive.
• I think there should be BGM music in the village area of Artantville because it seems too quiet with just the ambient noise in contrast to the Galleon level.
• When you pose with Miriam by standing still and holding up (which is great by the way love it) I have noticed that her scarf clips through her legs and dress. This would look much better if it flowed over instead of clipping through and would probably apply to any other accessories or capes she may get later.
• An option to zoom in the camera closer to Miriam would be nice to have to see how the gear looks on her close up and also to see the changes to her visibly as she gets more corrupted more easily. This could apply in both the pause menu and the main game.
• Also with Lindsay when you complete a quest I notice it takes you out of the quest menu even if you still have other quests to hand in or want to select other quests. This should be changed so that it doesn’t boot you out of it and you have to talk to her again to view or close other quests.
- Some of the pass-through platforms in the Galleon level are not covered by water and look out of place. They should have the water effects too.
Otherwise I am sure as the game progresses the rest of the little things i had gripes with will be resolved in time.
Keep up the good work team!
