I thought everything in the demo was great overall, but one thing I would like added to the final game would be the ability to equip a second weapon and use one of the unused buttons on the controller to switch between your two weapons on the fly during gameplay. I enjoyed using rapiers against most enemies, however it was difficult to hit enemies that were low to the ground such as those venus flytrap-like plants that would snap up at you when you ran over them. They were easily killed with some heavy weapons such as the battle axes, but it was really annoying to have to go into the menu and switch weapons just to kill them, then go back into the menu to switch back to the rapier. Being able to switch between two equipped weapons quickly during gameplay with the press of a button would have made this fast and easy. I know I can just use an attack shard instead but I'm greedy and usually like to keep full MP so I can get cash from all the candles.

Yeah different "sets" of weapons and shards like in dawn of sorrow and order of Ecclesia should be a thing, I agree.

I'm of two minds on this. On the one hand, different weapons are clearly geared to be useful in different circumstances and play styles. The whip has a broad vertical range that it strikes, yet it is slower than some other weapons. The katana has really fast initial strikes, but it's slow recovery time makes it bad for multiple fast enemies like the bat clusters(and it has no downward strike). And guns are basically like shard abilities with a different mana bar. So being able to switch between them quickly can help you vary your play style.
On the other hand, the absence of a quick switch ability pushes toward careful pairing of weapon choice and shard abilities to cover more situations. Technically, it doesn't matter since the game pauses when you go to menu, allowing you to switch what you want when you want, but in practice, no one wants to have to go to menu to switch out equipment more often than they have to. So most people are going to find a combination that works for them and keep that going until either the situation demands a change or new equipment or shard abilities are gained.

Hmm....maybe, if a quick switch is implemented, there can be a 10-15sec cooldown on being able to do it? So as not to spam weapon swaps and cheese things?

What about this, you can swap cancel once, but if you want to swap back you have to wait for the recovery time of the weapon you just swapped in. that would make it dynamic while preventing spam.

Answered this on another thread.
That existed in Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia. Dawn of Sorrow you had that by obtaining a Soul (Doppleganger) and you had 2 sets. Order of Ecclesia had a relic that would give you 3 sets.
I believe Bloodstained will have that. If you guys take a look at the 2017 demo, the equipment and shard menu had something called "Equipment set 1" and several (i think 8) small dots above the equipment menu. They intend to create whole sets of equipments (and shards) where you will most probably be able ot switch back and forth in real time.
Maybe we don't have it yet because it will be something obtainaible as a special item or maybe a Skill Shard of some sort.

I imagine a feature like that is bound to be present in the final product, especially after having it in Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia.
