Her dialogue VO is fantastic... however, the constant "HAWW HYAAWW HYAAWW" (especially for those of us compulsive jump-attackers) can get really old REALLY fast. Alternatively, change it to more of a "HUH. HMMPH" kind of noise vs. screaming in your face every second EDIT: Confirmed by the s/o when she came in and said "OMG What is that noise?"

Well yeah it's a bit too frequent maybe haha one should have an option with different grades of frequency.

While I don't mind the constant noise, since I'm used to that in games, I concur. It does seem like she emotes a bit too much with her attacks. Either a reduction to about...75%-50% frequency for her emotes would possibly make it a bit more bearable for those that want a more fluid sound.

Thought about this too. Maybe less frequent and/or less loud. Especially noticed it when using a whip.

I would rather have the option to lower the sound of attack grunts than simply mute/unmute them, but yes, they definitely need to look into that.

I would much rather have the sound effects of attacks not get doubled in volume when you hit multiple times in a row.

I thought this at first, and then I blocked it out. I grew up with some games that had constant attack sound effects. Kingdom Hearts is a big example.
But I nevertheless agree that it should be toned down a bit. More variety would be really nice, too. I don't know if it's currently the case, but heavier weapons can have the louder "HYAA!" while the lighter weapons can have a softer "Humph!"

I agree but I don’t think it should be entirely muted. Maybe keep the sound effect but only have it go off rarely such as when Miriam lands a critical hit.

I don't mind the volume being lowered a bit, or even the frequency of the sounds, but that is going much too far. I only saw a few criticals (which has a nice touch) throughout my playthrough, so it would indeed become rare.

This needs to change. It is the one thing that actually ruined enjoyment for me. I had to turn voice volume way down to keep playing.
I like the attack barks, I just want them much less frequently. MUCH less. You attack so much in games like this, that even a small percentage value for barks will be noticeable.

Definitely needs to be less frequent and quieter. Her scream when she gets a new shard is also too loud

Just an update, the JP VO for attack animations is MUCH more reasonable.

im all for giving battle grunts a separate audio slider so you can turn them to your liking without affecting the cutscene voices

It's too frequent. It's like 100% of the time. I would like it get reduced to around 20%

Her attack voice clips, as they are currently in English, seem like they were recorded for being for some sort of special attacks or something with infrequent use, rather than something we do commonly and quickly. There's just a bit too much gusto for "normal" attacks going on here - making them less frequent wouldn't solve this issue, as when they do come up, they still have the same problem with the voice performance not matching the in-game actions (and giving the option to mute them doesn't solve any problems - it just hides them, and only at-will, per player).
She needs new attack sounds for normal attacks. These as they are currently are simply inappropriate for what she's doing.

There's one very specific sound she has when using Swords and a few other weapons, that goes HOOH!!! or something like that
That one sound... I honestly want completely removed from the game.
The rest honestly are pretty alright.

Created an account to bring this up. I like to just listen to the music when I'm scrolling around. You can turn the voice volume off and it will be silent except for your new shards "HHHNNNGGHHHHHHHAAAAA"
However, I would like to still listen to the acting during dialogue scenes, which you don't always know would be coming up.
So, maybe a slider for combat voice volume

I think it her voice is ok but I think her volume should be lowered so it is not as grating... so, in short, I agree with Overlord and simon to make it sound more in the background... I personally think this "problem" is due to Miriam's voice being so high... which is fine but her higher pitch sound can get annoying
