Remember the golden era, of Infinity Engine, isometric, top-down RPGs? Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale? Well, those ones didn't end well, because a greedy company bought the rights to them, twisted them to a sorry state, plus tried to milk them hard for a cashgrab.
But all that is history! There is Black Geyser!
Something new, but with the good old formula! Complete with Party Romance and Pets, among other things. I highly recommend it. For me, only the nostalgia factor was enough, to motivate. But this project, adds new things, expands features of the genre and experiments, in order to create a richer and more varied experience! It is also going to have a DRM-Free version on players' demand, for those of us who think that is really important!
But enough talk, have at you!

I thought pillars of eternity is supposed to scratch that itch.
Anyway while I liked those games I actually enjoyed the original Neverwinter nights (and its expansions) most of all. Normally I like having a party but for NWN I really liked the single player feel. Made stats and decisions feel more meaningful, like a fallout 1/2 game or something I guess.
Kinda wish they'd make a new NWN style game with the new D&D edition.
