doesn't sound like any of these voice actors are using the voice they used for the characters they play so it's difficult to comment on how good of a choice they were, but comparing how informed Angel is keeping us for the development of this game compared to any other kickstarter I've looked into there must be something to brag about. really looking forward to that chocolate orb boss, no idea how a boss can be chocolate themed when they only love it once a year but I always love chocolate themed bosses though a bit curious on how a boss themed around sweets can keep a Gothic atmosphere to the game

Loved the video! It was very interesting to hear from the voice actors' perspective again. One thing I don't get is why you try to spin the truth about the Gebel assumptions to make it seem like it's been the fans' fault. I mean, it says that Hayter is going to be Gebel on the official Kickstarter page. It's not a crime to change your mind or your plan on stuff like that. Such changes happen a lot during development. Besides anyone can look that up and saying that those were just rumors told by fans just makes you look unprofessional. Just tell people the truth! (I think that David Hayter actually looks like he's a better fit for Zangetsu than for Gebel so I'm happy about the change myself) One thing that I found a bit odd was that you made a secret out of Rena Strober's other roles since it's already been confirmed in the update that she also plays Anne. It's no problem at all, just something I noticed.  I think that the idea to have a time-reversal ability is pretty cool! Could definitely be a shard. I'd imagine it like this: While having it equipped, all positions of enemies and the player get saved into arrays for each frame. When you use the ability (hold down a button), time plays backwards. It drains your MP really fast. It only works within the same room. That way it would be possible to correct little mistakes: get hit by an enemy, rewind time to before you got hit (pay with a bunch of MP), avoid enemy attack and kill the enemy. I'd love to use that! The broken mic trick was pretty cool  |

Yän he says "she plays Bloodless, Anne, and a few roles we're not quite ready to reveal yet". On the other thing, it was David that said something about it he a rumor, and I think he was more deadpan joking about it like he does, or perhaps didn't remember himself that it was on the Kickstarter page but I doubt that. Angel does say "assumed incorrectly", but that's not factually wrong or blaming us for making a mistake. It could have been worded less sharply, like "under the assumption" which would mean the same thing.

Great video, this one has more reveals and interesting stuff so, i'm gonna break it down what they say: DAVID HAYTER (Zangetsu)
As said above, fans didn't assumed incorrectly. It is on Kickstarter page that David Hayter would be the voice of Gebel. I also see no reason why to do this. The last Kickstarter update even mentioned that it was IGA's executive decision. It is interesting to see how they struggled to find the right tone for Zangetsu. I also thought that, that it could sound too much like Snake, since Zangetsu also has a deep, strong voice. Good to know they were able to find the right middle ground there.
RENA STROBER (Bloodless, Anne and others)
Bloodless artowrk!
First thing to note is that, it is confirmed that Bloodless is, indeed, a vampire. We all knew that, but it was never officially remarked (i think). I remember IGA saying in the beginning of the kickstarter, that he wanted to try stay away from vampires to set up Bloodstained as a more original work. I guess this is really hard to do. How you do a Gothic demonic game in a hellish castle, with a title as "Bloodstained" without at least one vampire? Good to know Bloodless is really a vampire, as we all thought. Rena mentions that she would love to have a spell such as the ability to go back in time, she asks "Is that one of them?" and we can hear Angel saying "Yes, of course". Does that mean a time rewind ability was confirmed? I don't know. It could be simply a chit-chat there, don't get your hopes up. But yeah, an ability where you can rewind some seconds of what you just did, would be really awesome, but that would pose a challenge. You would need to do a lot of specific things for something like this not be overused, such as: -rewinding time also rewinds EXP gain, drops and everything else (or else, a player would simply keep going back to insta-kill the same high EXP, low drop enemy). -Completely block it's usage on bosses (an ability like that would make ANY boss fight a complete joke), unless a boss is fully designed to be fought while using it. -Make it the highest MP usage in the whole game, potentially using up all MP bar after two or three usages. -Make some areas "protected" against time manipulation, to block this magic from being used, (again, this ability would make any gimmick / physical hazard in most places, a walk in the park to beat). So, i don't know if they really did that. It would require a huge work to something like this work properly without completely breaking the game. About the character she would give advice, she said i wouldn't change "her" (female confirmed), take a Xanax (insanity / mental instability confirmed), and wash her hands (the character has something nasty / bizarre / monstruous on her hands, confirmed). About the other evil character she plays, it really sounds like some kind of Bunny. "Some ears" and love "Chocolate orbs". Evil (maybe sexy?) Easter Bunny is my guess. And that will be...really interesting. In Gothic scenarios, sometimes, people like to add something colorful, cute and completely out-of-place, that makes it terryfing. Imagine a colorful forest with lots of happy trees and cute little animals, filled with frightening clowns and ragged dolls, with a evil easter bunny as boss. You can't say it isn't weird. And interesting.
FRED TATASCIORE (The Coachman)
Fred is a really fun guy, but his interview, game-wise, doesn't have much to talk about. But damn, what a fun guy!

purifyweirdshard Eh, I get what you're saying but when talking to the public, equally as important as what you're factually, directly stating is what your statement indirectly says. I know he's right - they were assuming it because they were told that from the beginning. Omitting that last bit of information makes it seem like they're trying to leave out that fact to twist the truth and put the blame on someone else (even if that was not the intention and there was really no one to blame as it's not really anything bad). I just don't think he phrased it in a way that reflects the truth unambiguously. So factually he's not wrong... The youtube comments tell me that I'm not the only one who found the phrasing strange and not quite as upfront as it could have been. Again, not a major issue but something that should be noticed to prevent potential future screw-ups when it actually matters. I'm not saying that Angel had any bad intentions, I know he's not that kind of person. Oh, and about the Anne-part: my fault, missed that bit!

Pure Miriam Did they say he was Gebel? In the update it says that he's the previously unknown character "The Coachman", doesn't it? Are fans just "wrongly assuming" here?

Yän Yeah I agree with you on all that, I'm sure he realizes it and will be more careful. "PHRASING!" and all. I saw him put that up in one of his youtube replies lol. The Anne thing is a similar problem, too, as it happens -- saying "Anne" and "and" right next to or interchangeably with each other is a phrasing that potentially loses the necessary conveyed information. castledan missed it too iirc. So kinda both examples of the same thing Angel's not a pro interviewer though and has a whole damn lot of work otherwise to do -- not making excuses for him, and even so, know he's seeing those bits and will think about it for next time. I know I would probably have more flubs, or just geek over Hayter like an idiot. edit: nah Fred is the coachman - Ray Chase is Gebel. The "Noctis guy". also PM's post reminds me that we haven't seen that art of Bloodless before - any way we can get a high res version of that? Angel-Corlux ? This is a reasonable request and you know it BRO ALSO ALSO, I wanted to mention Coachman's art. It doesn't appear to be Natsume's or Mana's, so I think it's probably one of those internal DICO sketches we heard about. Interesting, and I doubt that's his final/key design, and wonder how they'll wrangle that asset to match the others...
