I'm casting my vote for Mana; Compared to the other one, the blade looks much less cartoony and the faces are a lot more detailed and have more personality behind them. I wouldn't call the other one bad per say; just a lot more stylized, like a gothic Borderlands. If its the same art as on the kickstarter page, then I'd say keep some of it in for pictures hanging in the background.

yeah this was a pretty easy choice, no disrespect cause my art skills top out at stick people but the old art looks very flat especially compared to mana's piece

I'd fallen in love with both art-styles, honestly. Even though I'm fully aware Yuji Natsume only participated in designing art throughout the Kickstarter campaign, I'd still like to see more of both his & Mana's work.
Mana's artwork should definitely help Bloodstained along. It was already made clear that IntiCreates (and Natsume along with them) is now only participating in making the Prequel Mini-Game, so I'd say it makes sense to expect Mana of ArtPlay to take over the main game's art direction (but that doesn't seem to be the case).
All in all, I'm actually neutral on this. I love Mana's artwork as much as I do Natsume's.
I can see that a lot of people would prefer Mana's art-style at this point, but it's ultimately IGA's choice.

I am definitely a fan of the artwork from Mana . I feel that her style captures the very essence of and should be the golden standard for Iga's games. Forget about the assets provided by Inti, I want to see Mana's amazing art on the box! Also Fangamer Steve, wall scrolls and posters featuring Mana's art, please please please? Take my money! |

The initiative of the community never ceases to amaze me. I just got alerted to this thread and poll and it's amazing to see the amount of support and love for Mana and her art, all of it extremely well deserved.
I'll let this run its course, but I would like to clarify things a bit.
As far as art and assets, everything we have that is public facing is either left over from the original campaign made by IntiCreates, who haven't worked on Bloodstained for quite some time now, or has been concept art etc. made by DICO with Iga supervising of course, as a matter of necessity during development. As of right now, as the person in charge of publishing for the game, I don't have someone I can go to and tell them "make me 'x' art asset, I need it for 'y' reason".
So I hope everyone will vote without worrying about any lack of respect to Natsume or dismissal of their role in the past. We never forget or dismiss our collaborators, whether they still work with us today or not. And in this case, since we haven't worked with IntiCreates in a long time, it's not a matter of transitioning from one artist to another, much less forcing Iga to change directions, or anything like that as I've seen some imply.
Finally, the art assets that we will still be needing in the future for Bloodstained will indeed be, as some have guessed, marketing and promotional materials. So no one has to worry about some crazy drastic change to the art style of the game or anything.

Man, Mana's work is gorgeous.
Like if I were to visualize a style that is in theme with Castlevania but being a spiritual successor to it, I think more of that artwork than what Natsume-san has done for the game.
Promote her from Community Manager to Community Manager and Artist, please.

I voted yes, obviously  Dengojin Mana's very busy, yeah, but part of the reason we brought Angel and 505 games on is to take some of that pressure off, so if there's enough demand, it wouldn't be too difficult to have her be promoted to full time artist and someone from 505 come in to do translations and stuff. |

Mana is indeed very busy, but her workload is more tolerable now that I've effectively taken over community management duties until we fill the community manager role we're hiring for here at 505 Games.
The need for marketing and promotional art would not consume all of Mana's duties. It would be on a "as needed" basis, and giving her plenty of time in advance to fulfill on it and do her other duties as the communication manager for ArtPlay. |

Thanks for clarifying Angel-Corlux and gunlord500 Bloodstained is a spiritual successor to Castlevania and looking at Mana's work..it feels like she is the Ayame Kojima of Bloodstained, but her own person at the same time. Just how Bloodstained feels to the Castlevania franchise! |

No shame in admitting I've not spent near enough time on these forums (Hi everybody!) But I had to come and vote YES for this. Mana's art gives me that SotN through to Aria of Sorrow vibe, and I've sorely missed it. Yeah, Gebel does look a lot like the promotional art for Soma Cruz.  |

At first I was iffy about casting a vote, as I did really like Natsume's art from the campaign and didn't want to disrespect the work and effort he put into bringing these characters to life. However, if Natsume is no longer involved in the main game, I feel no issues voicing my opinion.
And that opinion is a giant YES. Mana's poster just blew me away. Heck, make it a purchase on Fangamer and I will order it immediately, its that good.
