For some reason, this post had icons, but they vanished, so, i put this picture just to illustrate Many Igavania games before, had equipments with special, unique and unusual effects. Some of them were really useful, others were weird and some were funny and interesting. It's all part of how overly detailed Igavania games are. Thinking about that, i thought "Bloodstained needs these types of equipment!" so, a new thread was born with that idea. First of all, let me give you all some examples of what i'm talking about: Sword Familiar (SOTN): i'm not saying Bloodstained should have a familiar that turns into a weapon, that would be too carbon copy. But imagine if we have, for instance, a familiar that turns into an Armor (Armor Familiar, the one people voted at the Familiar voting would be perfect for that). Shield Rod (SOTN): The famous weapon that has secret spells when combined with shields. Bloodstained could have secret spells coming from weapons and something else. Walk Armor (SOTN): DEF goes up with map coverage. Interaction between equipment and game's objectives, like map coverage, bestiary filling or something would be a good idea. Joseph's cloak (SOTN): The cape that you could create colors for. Something similar for the Scarf? Cat Eye's Circlet (SOTN): This piece of equipment heals you BIG HP when damaged by cats. So...damn weird and funny. Sun / Moon Armors (HOD): Stats changed depending on what castle you was.
So, what good and awesome ideas you all folks have for special, unique and unusual equipments for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night? That's all folks!

Equipment like this was always pretty fun, and its honestly just fun coming up with ideas for them.
Cursed Set: A set of equipment (armor and weapon) that gets stat boosts the more Miriam succumbs to her curse. As in, say there is an extremely powerful armor set that keeps Miriam in a corrupted state, and a sword that gains power when she's corrupted, but any time she takes damage she can succumb to it and die. A fun risky playstyle like the Death Ring runs of OoE is what I'm going for.
Vinyard Whip: A wine-colored whip that gets huge boosts when "Winestained" is active, and enemies defeated via the whip extends the duration of the Winestained buff. Also something silly, like little wine glass particles appear when you swing it.
Rose Scarf: a red/white/pink scarf that causes rose petals to burst from enemies when they die.
Martial Arts Gi: A set of armor that enhances Miriam's kicks. Doubles as a costume, possibly blue to look ever so slightly like Chun-Li.
Kujo's Hat: Greatly improves Miriam's familiars, but she is unable to directly attack, instead she commands her familiars directly. The attack command causes her to dramatically point and the familiar charges.

Here's what I can think of [for now]. This includes versions of 2 pieces of equipment from previous 'vanias that the developers can easily include in Bloodstained without worry.
Ring of Andvari (or "Andvarinaut"): Forged by the dwarven smith Andvari. This ring can create Gold, but it was cursed by Loki to lower the user's luck.
Stone Mask: An ancient ceremonial mask carved from jade, once used by the old Aztec civilization in dark rituals to create children of the night. Special Effect: Allows the user to destroy candles and breakable walls by simply touching them.
Whip of Talos: Named for a giant bronze automaton said to have protected the island of Crete in the ancient past. Its blows are devastating, like the fists of the giant. Special Effects: Lightning attribute. This whip can be "charged" up to 2 levels for greater damage.
Riversong: An amazingly durable cuirass said to have been tempered under the cold rushing waters of a hidden waterfall for millennia. Special Effects: Very high DEF boost (late-game), and enables wearer to absorb Ice-attribute attacks.
^If you've played either Aria of Sorrow or Dawn of Sorrow, you're likely to be vaguely familiar with the last one ("Eversing").

i remember SOTN's Muramasa, infinite attack stat as long as we have the patience. AOS also had a stat boost soul which improves as Soma absorbs more souls (repeated souls allowed, which i am happy with).
will/can BloodStained have something similar to a more shards more stats ability? good for end game de-stress cheesing.

i remember SOTN's Muramasa, infinite attack stat as long as we have the patience. AOS also had a stat boost soul which improves as Soma absorbs more souls (repeated souls allowed, which i am happy with). will/can BloodStained have something similar to a more shards more stats ability? good for end game de-stress cheesing. It was kinda confirmed that picking up more Shards of the same time is the way to level them up. Shards will have levels, so, if you pick the same shard over and over again, that shard gets stronger. Now, about an ability to increase stats with more shards absorbed, you are talking about Headhunter Soul. That could sure be interesting.

I should probably mention here that the "Headhunter" Enchantment Soul in Aria of Sorrow is the only other way [besides leveling-up Soma & equipping special items] to increase the attack-power of most Souls in the game. Alongside the Soul's ability to increase Soma's stats [based on total Souls collected], of course. Dawn of Sorrow introduced the method of directly increasing the power of most Souls by simply collecting more of the same kind of Soul, up to their maximum "Soul levels" (maxing most of them at 9 total souls collected for full strength). ^With the above in-mind, Miriam just might be able to find a special item (or Shard) that works similarly to AoS's Headhunter. Working in tandem with the ability to directly strengthen Shards just by collecting more of the same type, Miriam is already on-track to becoming a magical powerhouse.

Galamoth Some curiosities i read once about Headhunter Soul from Aria of Sorrow. 1) All stats (except Luck) gains +1 each 16 souls you have. 2) Headhunter has a hidden cap. It doesn't offer more than +33 for each stat. So, you need 528 souls (16 x 33) to reach that. 3) Headhunter counts souls repeatedly collected, even beyond 9. So, if you have 9 Bat souls and pick up another one, although the game shows "Bat 9", internally, Headhunter soul considers that as 10 souls. So, all in all, you can collect 528 souls by collecting all the souls of the game and repeating some of them countless times.

Ok here are some things I just made up... these are just ideas and I know they will not be for everybody.
- Kitty, Kitty, Meow, Meow Boots - boots with a kitten motif. Every time Meriam kicks the boots make a loud or angry meow sound (or hiss... but that should be rare) when she walks it meows or purrs.
- Winged Sword - well you remember the heaven sword from sotn think that but with working wings
- The Singing Sword - with every swing it should play a note of a song... if swung with the right rhythm... it can play a song (what song... I don't know I will leave that to the developer lol).
- Domino Mask - a thief's mask... but one that relies only on luck alone (wearing this mask strips the wearer of 90% of every stat except luck... it gives them +luck 100)
- Squirrel Charm - a charm with a squirrel motif... will attract wild squirrels that will fight for you... be careful though... if you wear the charm and the strength of the accumulated squirrels outweighs your strength they may turn on you (insert dramatic music here).
Ok, I think these are fun... hope you guys do too.
