Consider it like Mega Man Legends. You have Mega and Roll, and they are very obviously not the same characters from any of the other versions of themselves in the series.
I think they very much want to continue this trend for all their games.
Also I'm slightly disappointed it's a kickstarter and it's telling us this won't even be the full game. I still plan on backing it but I'm wary of promises.

I hadn't even noticed it was only coming out for PC.
As I'm kind of an everything gamer other than mobile, it's fine, since I have a gaming PC. I'll also feel at home using my mouse for the shooting aspect, however I would appreciate it being on my PS4.

I backed it for the physical copy. I'm really digging that jacket costume thing, I don't know why.
Also I kind of realized why they named it what they did.
Blue Bomber -> Red Ash.

For something like anime I'm going to have to look into their other works, how much they had to do with the source, and how much I liked those works.
With a game I can make it fun so long as the core is good enough.
With anime there is no interactivity so I'm stuck with what I get. Though this is essentially making an international anime at this point isn't it? Wonder how fast localization gets to be.

More so if they reach all the stretch goals. |

It sounds short as an impression but...
Lots of games are that short.
Just taking some random games, Symphony of the Night has an average play time of 11 hours, Mega Man Legends had an average of 6 hours, Resident Evil 2 had a little over 5 hours.
I'm sure plenty of us would love a 40 hour Mega Man Legends type game, but it isn't exactly viable. As it is, this game is going to include, by default, a lot more resources than any of those games. The greatest thing we can hope for is that this gives us a powerful start into a new Red Ash franchise that will feature longer games.

i guess i've never beaten any of the games i own that quickly though i'm sure most of them may fall into this range... but i do have a soft spot for games like Xenogears where i clocked well over 90 hours.
i'll keep my pledge where it's at and hope we reach some of those stretch goals.

Ha, I hadn't thought of that, but I imagine it's more because the game was called Rockman Dash in Japan, so Red Ash = re-Dash. I've hardly read anything about the game or seen anything official about its naming, but that came to mind first. |
