Remembering my old idea on this thread, i think the game could have a Shard that increases EXP to help reach LV 255.
Aria of Sorrow had that. Erinys soul was Enchant ant, when equipped, it would increase EXP taken by 20%.
Aria of Sorrow also had an acessory that gave 1 EXP point per second while walking (called Shaman Ring)
Maybe if Bloodstained had a LV 255 cap, to help reach it (i really think it is boring to grind all the way to 255 without any kind of help) the game could have a "double-edged" Shard, that helps in one way, but hinders the other?
A made-up example:
Shard (Enchant): GOLD EXPERIENCE
Description: Increases EXP while continuously decreases 1 Gold per second. Has no effect when Gold is 0.
Grade leveling: N/A (can't be leveled up. Made by forging).
Rank leveling: Increases EXP bonus.
(i don't read the mangas, but i watch the anime, so no spoilers. If anyone caught Jojo's reference...

, but Order of Ecclesia does indeed have a Level 255 cap. To unlock it, you need to either complete Hard Mode on "Level Cap 1" (meaning you can't level), or by establishing a Wi-Fi connection between OoE and Castlevania Judgment for the Wii.
