Whenever Miriam level up, we have a short break / pause on screen - I call this Sequence. This pause is longer than we had in Symphony of the Night, if we compare it with the E3 2016 demo. The text that appears together with fancy effects is what I call animation (fx). Feel free to discuss. Igavanias usually have a short break. In Diablo 3 we had real-time glows that also did damage to near-by enemies. See here!

I have no issues with it as it is. Haven'tt played with a joypad, would be nice if there was rumble when you levelled up, even better if the Nintendo Switch version had HD rumble specific to levelling

I have no issues with it as it is. Haven'tt played with a joypad, would be nice if there was rumble when you levelled up, even better if the Nintendo Switch version had HD rumble specific to levelling That is a cool feature, and almost a given. A little shake when you gain level would be something almost given. I know some games light up the PC keyboards (if installed). Others have rumble in both getting hit, level up, and seeing huge enemies (mostly end-bosses to give the feel of danger). Good suggestion! I approve!

well i think maybe having different sequences depending on the level obtained would be really cool. more colorful, bigger, or i dont know but i think it would be one of those little things that many people don't really notice or even care about but i still would love it. lv1-20 small sequence lv21-50 big sequence with more colors lv51+ cool looking sequence with many colors (maybe a rainbow effect) great fx or other stuff
in every single igavania you reach the final boss around lv35-50 so i think it would be a small reward for players that actually grind their way to 99... or 255.
Edit: i dont mind the pause at all i think its great but not really needed, also in OoE your familiars actually had a real time level up without any kind of pause and i think it looked nice so honestly i think pause or no pause would be fine.
