Cernex So you could say that the current status of the Metal Gear franchise is about as convoluted as some of the subplots within the series' story itself. It wasn't actually Konami, it was the Patriots, until it wasn't the patriots, but Konami running the S3 program with the La Li Lu Le Lo, but actually it was your memories tampered with to protect the REAL Big Boss and his vision of the REAL REAL Outer Heaven while Kojima SEEMED to leave Konami and the upper management become all Snatchers. It's pretty simple tbh Anyway I think it lines up well that Snake isn't in Bomberman - he's not in MG: Survive at all either afaik. |

Raiden was always Psycho Mantis in-disguise, and you were Revolver Ocelot all along. His death against Old Snake is the TRUE Game-Over. And the mastermind behind it all? Weegee. |

Just turned SBR on casually a few days ago and was quite surprised, I had no idea about this update.
The new guest bombers are fun, I think that Shiori's personal skill is perhaps a little too powerful in multiplayer matches. (Just use her personal ability to stun them, then run past them dropping bombs. If they don't/can't get Bomb Kick then they're pretty much doomed.)
Also noticed we have (at least) one new story mode world. I'll look into that within the next few days.

Simon Belmont has Vampire Killer, which pulls in nearby bombs and characters.
Dracula has Dark Curse, which sets an invisible trap that will deflect bombs set on top of them. (Can set up to four.)

Perhaps with an upsurge of various game franchises making a comeback, I could see Konami trying to capitalize on an opportunity to bring out a franchise or two for consoles next year (Silent Hill and Castlevania, maybe?), especially since MTX are a thing. Metal Gear Survive releases February 20 next year, so who knows if they reveal something new during E3 or Gamescom? I wouldn’t hold my breath for something too spectacular, or anything at all, knowing Konami. I certainly wouldn’t hold my breath.
