Update #12 May 29, 2015Robbie Belgrade has been announced to take part in voicing a character in Bloodstained! Robbie Belgrade plays the voice of Alucard in Symphony of the Night. The old Alucard, and not from the new dub (from what I've listened to, the newer dub is Yuri Lowenthall, but I can't say that for sure). As such, there's a new $1,000 reward tier for him to record a message (up to 10). Exciting news for me, I loved Alucard's voice a whole lot. They've also announced that dual audio will be present! So if for some reason you can't handle his amazing voice, you can listen to it in Japanese!

I do use that site every now and then, it's pretty useful. Most of the VA's I'm interested in are in anime, which I use myanimelist for, but when it comes to video games there's a stronger lack of information.
This is partly due to voice actors not being required to be listed in the credits of video games. Due to this there are some mystery actors, and certain contracts that are made requiring the identity of said actors to remain unknown. One extreme example is the voice of Naoto Shirogane in Persona 4. There are multiple speculations of who voices her, but no one knows for sure. We've even been told by the localization team that the VA appreciates everyone's support, but her identity still must remain anonymous, it's crazy. This is also why in the anime she has a different voice, because her name would be required to be listed.

I actually don't understand anti-necromancy myself. What does it hurt, so long as the topic wasn't itself a problem/controversial etc? And even in that case, can't really stop people because even unpleasant things aren't against the rules per se.

I prefer to call it threadromancy or forumancy... but that may be just me. Anyway, On-Topic: "Blood Steal!"  Yes, I'd say that if it somehow wasn't confirmed before, the most recent update undoubtedly confirms dual-audio now. Bloodless sounds great in both languages, in my honest opinion. As an aside, I wonder if Robbie or Ryotaro were ever dared to say the infamous "Die Monster!" line. |

I'll be honest, every forum I've been in lasts maybe a year or two for tabletop RPGs with active devs. Except RPGnet, where what I perceived as a sensibly written opinion on Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 3rd Edition got me banned (my offense was that I called it more akin to a board game; if you're in the dark on this one, welcome to the club).
Just trying to express and share excitement for the game. I remain shameless.

I played it yesterday for the first time actually. A little buggy for my tastes.
edit: On topic, Robert Belgrade is the Mysterious Man. He's now in the running in many fans' eyes for a playable character. He also does indeed have a "stellar" cloak as Angel hinted at way back.
It'll be fun to hear what Easter egg lines made it in for the actor/character combo here ;p |
