Hello Community,
Sadly, I heard about this game late, but tried to back as quickly as possible. As soon as I found information and saw video I was instantly on board and backed on Aug 8th for the $175 Tier, and I suppose I missed on the opportunity to get a Demo. However, I'm now seeing the post regarding if you back for $60+ you get a chance to get a Demo, so...How can I go about getting my Demo version? Can someone help me out? Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately that was a grace period, which I'm fairly certain passed weeks ago. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you missed the entire window a long time ago.

True that was a grace period, but now the current news is back at $60+ and get a Demo version. So does that mean I cancel my backing at $175 tier then turn around and back again so I could get the Demo version(which seems redundant and stupid to me) or wouldn't it be fair that those of us who did back previously now be eligible for the Demo version?

Beta is not the demo. That was made clear in the update that released the demo. The beta has yet to happen. As far as I understand, Kickstarter is not refundable.

I think he actually is talking about the demo, Mike...
At any rate, I think your best course of action is to e-mail orders@fangamer.com and ask them about it. It may not work out, but it won't hurt to ask. They're nice folks.

Thanks a lot purifyweirdsoul, I will do just that and yes that's exactly what I was talking the Demo version.
Thanks for the assist!

Hello again Community, I took the advice given here and sent an e-mail to orders@fangamer.com regarding a demo version. I have not had much luck as the first response was a generated response due to the fact they were in PAX West. PAX West has now completed so I chose to send another e-mail since it had been sometime, I still have not received any response regarding a demo version. Each day that passes just tends to infuriate me more. Call me a little impatient but I'm a little agitated that this news of people who back the game $60 or more came but a week after I had backed a game just by simply watching someone play a demo version. Don't get me wrong I'm hyped for the game as its reminiscent of Castlevania Symphony of the Night, but I think those of us that backed prior to that announcement should also be eligible for a demo version(especially since I chose the 175 tier). Yet I have heard nothing, and some justice I feel is in order. Personally, I think that there shouldn't have been a cutoff, because I do feel now taken for (in the sense that something was promised could get a taste of some gameplay). BY playing the demo if I truly like it as much as what it appears it could solidify more of feeling to back more (get where I'm going?). I'm almost to a point of just cancelling my order entirely. Is there anybody that can assist? Maybe my e-mail hasn't been seen yet? Or just be a little more patient?
Thanks for any help

Well, one more thing I can think of: Fangamer Steve
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling that way. I don't know though if it would be fair for them to send you a code and others not who also missed the cutoff. Another piece to consider here is that the demo was said to only be live for 3 months, and that would be just 10 days from now.
It is a bit of a trend to reward earlier adopters for Kickstarter projects. It sucks that some people who would otherwise be equally as excited don't hear about things earlier, but many were waiting and watching for this to be a thing and we put out the word the best we could. The campaign itself was excellent in those efforts. I do think that you will receive a reply for your e-mails, and if you don't, that may be the answer itself. Regardless, we'll see if perhaps Steve can give a final word, though I haven't seen him on as much lately.

Hello, Thanks again for your response purifyweirdsoul, I just received a response from Laura and they will not honor my order with a demo, I then responded with very well I may or may not reorder. That's where my feeling is at this point, I'm sure the game will be great but I just feel there was a bit un-justice.

To my understanding, this early demo is handle similarly to that of like pre-order content from a specific retailer or something like the now trending day-one only content. Those tend to have just as strict grace periods for those contents, but more lenience for actual codes. But both have expiration dates.
It is unfortunate they chose a grace period but to them they wanted to offer something for those who backed early enough that wouldn't infringe on anything current. Since any feedback generated from the demo has already been sought.
I'm sure there will be another one as they continue development, which might be the demo that you'll get. But as is now, the previous one did its job and had probably been discarded.
But that's just how I view it. Which probably does help in any form.
