Are you a collector of anything specific?

I haven't been collecting them since I was around 13 years old, but I have about 1000 Donald Duck comic books and maybe 100-200 of various other comic books.  I don't have any Marvel or DC comic books, most of the comics that are not Donald duck are popular European/Norwegian comics. I recently had to redecorate my room due to me getting a new bed with no space under it so I couldn't store my comics under my bed anymore. I had to pack up all of my comics and store them in the garage.  The worst part is that I never tried to collect Donald Duck comics, the collection just grew larger and larger.


If I had to recommend some Donald Duck stories it would be all of the works of Carl Barks and Don Rosa. Carl Barks is the man that started it all with Donald Duck comics and Don Rosa is the man that I and many others consider the best Donald Duck writer. You can also consider their works as a contained universe since Don Rosa based his stories on what Carl Barks wrote, so if you want continuity you will have trouble finding it any other Donald Duck comics than those written by them. Don Rosa's Magnum Opus is  "The Life And Times Of Scrooge McDuck" I consider that a must read for any fan of Donald Duck comic books.

If you liked Ducktales you will like the work of Carl Barks and if you liked Carl Barks work you will love Don Rosa's.

I own a Virtual Boy, at least 10 games, and I have a goal to collect the entire library.

I used to collect old "The Far Side" wall calendars after getting them for Christmas every year until they stopped making them, and even scouted around for older ones. I stopped collecting them while I was in college and lost track of where my collection went.

There were a bunch of Lego Magazine and Boy's Life issues I held on to from when I was a kid, but I recycled them a while back because they were taking up too much space and it wasn't feasible to keep them. I also collected old Nintendo Power issues, mostly ones from 1997-2003, and those got donated to someone I thought would appreciate them.

I've also started collecting a bunch of comic book trade paperbacks, omnibuses, and graphic novels in an attempt at building a "definitive" library of good comics after discovering some book stores that sold them for cheap and in good condition. I would probably have the gaming PC I've wanted to build by now if it wasn't for that, but I'm too proud and impressed to be angry over it.

I collect pins and special game cases, like the Lionheart Edition of Legend of Heroes: Trials of Cold Steel came with. It came with a pin too but I was disappointed it was the pin of the horned Lion on the cover (it was a horse for some reason). Admittedly, I don't have very many of either but...C'est le vie.

I also used to collect state quarters but that was a long time ago..

Ahhh....Amiibola at its finest. I remember when I had that curse. Now I gave away my amiibos to my friends and kept my Shulk.

I love and I mean LOVE collecting Hats. I'd show some of them off, but that requires work so I may put that in later on (got a presentation tomorrow and a exam to study for on Tuesday....Soo maybe sometime later?

Emergency supplies and survival gear. Call me slightly paranoid but I have them in my car, house, and basement prepared for about any worse case scenario. I often find myself expanding it with more things I don't really need.
