I'd like to see some that are more abstract (is that the right word?) like
kill a certain monster in 1 hit
kill a certain monster with a certain weapon/spell
play the whole game without using shards
play the whole game with only using starting equipment
play the whole game without using map
play whole game without crafting
play whole game without buying/selling anything
never die
play a game never hitting a candle
make it through a long hallway without hitting the ground (if there is something like a jump kick attack, or say jump kick + yorick head)
backdash 80% of movement during a play through
make it through the "clocktower" without damage taken or given
beat dev time in speedrun
beat boss with only 10 hp left
beat boss going into fight with hp so low you would get 1 hit without using potions (no damage taken during a boss, but basically you die if you actually get hit)
get wasted by drinking 50 meads in a row
get fat by eating 100 donuts in a row
eat so much you become sick (if you eat too much in a row, you actually get debuffed or something)
Preservatives last forever! (food items sit in your inventory through a WHOLE game, assuming you start with no food items, you'd have to keep a food item that transferred to new game+ and keep that all the way to new game++)
kill one of every enemy in one sitting, bosses or just regular
get carried through a challenge mode (co-op player does all the work, you don't get touched)
carry the co-op player
if there are special moves, do them all in x amount of time
kill 10 enemies in a row using special moves
bat-friendly, don't kill any bats during a play through
enemy of my enemy - don't kill any regular monsters in a play through, bosses & mini bosses only
some achievements like that, really really tired of just seeing completion achievements. Might as well just put 1 achievement in the game that says 100% the whole game.
I like games where either you have to be a big fan and good at the game to get 100% i.e. super meat boy. It kind of annoys me when you play a whole game and the only achievements left are collectibles (like Prototype, beat all time trials, but I am not gonna sit there and go find where I missed the 10 of 500 collectibles on a big map). I like achievements that are actually what the title implies: Achieving something. Do we give every one a gold (platinum) star or do you actually have to earn it?
sotn had some obscure achievements like that along with mostly standard completion achievements:
Defeat 10 consecutive enemies using the standard weapons without getting hit.
Defeat 10 consecutive enemies using only magic without getting hit.
Defeat 10 consecutive enemies using special weapons without getting hit.
Defeat Dracula in the Bloodlines stage without getting hit.
edit: OOOOHHHH we have to have a "disease"/pass along co-op achievement. "Play co-op with IGA/devs or anyone whom already has this achievement." Yeah.
