And are we really going to bring in accusations about a Kickstarter being used as a means to gauge interest on a message board dedicated to Bloodstained? |

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people with very negative opinions about E3, myself being one of them. I'm not talking about this e3 in particular, or the games showcased in them, just the event itself. I can be interested in games that were at e3, but almost never BECAUSE of e3, I just don't trust it worth a dang, kinda like many gamers don't trust lots of professional game reviewers.

That's fair. The video above, however, felt like it was just a waste of time. There's being critical, and then there's coming off so negative and cynical that it feels like the guy was just putting on a show for the views(i.e. the exact same thing he accuses E3 itself of doing). I'd say that Jim Sterling did a better job of covering the show, pointing out faults without just coming off as someone who hates his job. He also did a Podquisition covering E3 along with Laura Kate and Miracle of Sound here. |

I'll admit, I was half-heartedly excited about the FF7 announcement. While it's an integral part of my gaming history, I don't want them to tarnish the original's legacy; and really, a remake now of all times? I don't know, I'll remain a hopeful skeptic.

Even if Shenmue surpasses us, I'm still happy that we got as far as we did with just our passion towards this game and the creative campaign behind it. I'm sure The Bloodstained campaign will hold warmer memories for us than this new one, and it's a win-win either way because both fans of Shenmue and Igavania will get new games. ROTN's campaign was really fun, brought us all together on a forum like this, and I'm pretty grateful for that. I don't feel it's healthy to put this new campaign down to just defend our position as #1, but to promote and help talented developers to bring that community together and create the games they want with their help (like Igarashi stated in yesterday's interview). I never heard of Shenmue before E3, but I am happy for those fans who have been waiting a long time for it. This guy gets it. |

I am expecting it to end somewhere between 4 and 4.9 million. For all the hype Sony gave it a lack of motivating stretch goals and the fact that's its chained to PS4 & PC exclusivity will prevent it from exceeding Bloodstained.

All popular Kickstarter projects start out with a bang, slow down, then speed up again during the last 48 hours. Bloodstained averaged around 50k-60k during the middle of its campaign life. There's still 25 days left. This is Shenmue 3. It will reach 5M+ easily. |

I Love Shenmue so much, but The left side of my brain is telling me its going to hit 5 mill but noy higher and this game will be a let down. Ive disided all these ‘‘Strech goals‘‘ are going toend being dlc. Theere are enuf fans st this point to keep the game above water at least long enuff to merit DLC witch im shour will make Shenmue awesome enuff to merit 4.

I thought they were going to do a remake of FFVII at some point, but I'm hoping Squeenix hasn't been focusing on it over FFXV. I'll still buy it all the same, to add to my massive collection of Final Fantasy games...but it's not really a new addition to the series. (EDIT): Back on-topic, I do believe I'll wait to see how high the Kickstarter gets in the next couple of weeks before I pledge money. |

I've been watching the Kicktraq closely on this one. I don't wish bad for a game series like this that many love, but deep inside I don't want it to pass B:RN. Seeing days like the last few were they haven't even cracked 20k or barely pass 10k makes me giddy inside. I know I should be happy for S3, but I am in the Army of the Night and want Lord IGA to reign supreme! Actually it's kinda sad, they only had not even 200 backers yesterday and it's not because people don't care, it's that their campaign was far from optimal by how it has been handled. Normally, a campaign should snowball after it has caught people attention but this one... How do you get more in the face of gamers than e3? maybe at the launch of the KS wasn't the best decision for how that campaign wanted to be but then again they didn't even seem ready to lead it to the best outcome. It's a sad mess for me =/ Let's hope it's just their slowest day like Bloodstained was also the 15th day of campaign, but I don't think they will ever reach that 10 Millions, or even 7 at this rate |

I think there'll be a boost for Shenmue on the last day, as there usually is, but it does seem to be disappointing for such a high-end kickstarter, :/

They really are limited with PC and PS4, our big boosts later on were when Wii U and Vita were hit. If they at least did something like an HD release of 1& 2 that could help them over take us, but I'm truly less worried now.
