Ok how many of you are interested in (looking forward to) the the multiplayer aspect of this game? There are very few games where people can play in the same room... not like the early 90's (teary eyed Jeffcross looks into the distance, as the past plays in his mind like 8mm film playing against a dirty silver screen [lol] just wanted some drama for the f*ck of it).

It really depends on how it's done. I'd LOVE multiplayer in the rogue-like portion.
I'd handle it similar to how Diablo 3 does it, tbh. Free roam, but when a player wants to face a boss, the other player can opt in and teleport to boss or opt out and be locked out of the room during the attempt. Similarly, I'd keep the player's level and progress bound online. You can create 6 or 7 characters, each with their own levels and equipment progressions (just so you can play with your different friends at different levels) and detach it from offline.
Essentially, if you are level 75 offline and decide to play with a friend for the first time, your online account will be a level 1 character of your choice (we have a choice of 3, non?)
While I am personally not a fan of restarting at level 1; this is a great way of allowing different levels of progression for different players at different stages of progression.

In my opinion :
Local Co-op : Each player has a character (Miriam and Zantetsu for exemple) and : - Play the game, basically - Play mini-games I have no idea what are they planning on this one.
About asynchronous and challenge made, it's probably a kind of ladder when you got time attack scores, top 100 of highest level or something like that. We still have a lot to learn about additionnal contents to be fair !

Well...I probably wouldn't play the multiplayer since I don't really have many friends that would want to play. A sad Shax is indeed very sad.
Multiplayer would probably included when they "release" the Rouge-like dungeon, depending on if they decide to create more assets for it. Not sure how it would work though. It might use a separate "file" to determine the level but other than that I have no clue.
As for the Online Multiplayer....I have no idea. Everyone's guess is as good as mine but it will probably be more "competitive" than the main game.
