Thank you so much for posting this! I probably never would have seen it. My extreme love for Vampire Hunter D is the reason I first picked up a Castlevania game at all. Lament of Innocence was my first, and I played it because the look of it reminded me so much of VHD: Bloodlust. It's been true love ever since.

I haven't been this excited for a Kickstarter since Bloodstained. O wow, i thought i'd never see the day....sooo im now a backer lol I always thought D was highly underrated, its Such a great series and I wish they continued more then just the animated moive |

Yeah, they are working on a series.  So glad people here are backing this! I'm a huge D fan, Amano fan, and D had influenced Alucard's design. |

This. This is the reason I've been gone from the forums, lol. Besides work. Can't neglect a parent fandom! (In a great way, it's connected to ours by Yoshitaka Amano now!! But it probably was beforehand because of Castlevania/Ayami Kojima, too. She did art of one of the Vampire Hunter D spinoff novels, Greylancer. The more you know!)  Also LeoLeWolferoux , it more than just resembles Castlevania. It shaped it, in a way. After backing the comic and watching the VHD: Bloodlust movie, I can see where a lot of inspiration came from. Castlevania developers were big fanboys of the series, and I find it adorable. Mike has said before that Alucard was inspired by D, and he's right. D can be seen as Alucard's equal or even alternate universe brother. Not only Iga took inspiration from VHD either...several Castlevania games besides the Igavanias have plots/characters similar to the novels. I've read the synopsis of a lot of the novels, I just can't wait to get my hands on them. Also getting my hands on the new Resurrection TV series coming up, and the comic which is the topic here. Who is excited to see some of D's backstory? I'm also excited for that Pathfinder VHD add-on! I'll have to go get myself a set for the occasion, I've played the game before and love it. Attachments:

I'd drop $25 for the exclusive cover if I wasn't still hunting for a new job...Well they absolutely made it, so I can at least be happy that at some point I'll have some VHD to look forward too  |
