OK, according to popular consensus, it seems there's no clear winner this year... many people are saying Sony won the VR part of E3, others argue Microsoft won the hardware aspect with their Scorpio and Xbox one S... and others say Nintendo kicked major bits with Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
So what do you guys think? I personally think Nintendo won the whole thing (it would have been cemented if they showed off the NX)... but with games like Zelda, Oasis, Paper Mario: Color Splash, Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE, Severed and a whole bunch of 3ds games and Dragon Quest news. I think they won E3 but that is just an opinion, what do you guys think?
Remember this thread will be full of opinions, so please let us be civil, K?
Edit: sorry I put "Wii" instead of "WiiU" ^^;

Nintendo kinda stole the show for me with Zelda and the new Pokemon games. Sony had a good showing and I was interested in Days Gone, Vampyr looked interesting although it was multi-platform. Xbox I didn't see too much that intersted me other than Cuphead.
For me it was a Nintendo win with Sony as a close runner up.

Sony brought the games and Nintendo had a strong showing with Zelda..but...gonna have to give the edge to Sony. Was generally surprised with some of the reveals.

Sony. Their presentation was top-notch, even the very beginning where they shown someone playing a game. Playing games. That's what gaming is all about, and Sony already knocked it out of the park for me right from the get-go. Though not all of their games impressed me, a few of the games I liked that I can think of, The Last Guardian, the new God Of War, Death Stranding, were jaw-dropping, particularly The Last Guardian.
Nintendo did pretty good, but focusing on just their new Zelda game didn't work for me. Breath of the Wild looks stunningly beautiful, don't get me wrong. Just the entire E3 Nintendo package, while great in itself, doesn't do it for me as much as Sony's.

Clear I understand what your saying, I was shocked with the Crash reveal... and also loved The Last Guardian... but to me that was all. Death Stranding just confused and disturbed me... though I did still get excited over what would come next lol. so in short I understand what you are saying but Nintendo's games just felt more fun to me.

The only right answer to a question like this IMO is GAMERS! (.i.e. us) Nothing else really matters and often devolves into dick size/cup size-measuring contests

Son won E3 as a whole, but Nintendo stole game of the show.
Nintendo's presentation as a whole was a downright failure, but that didn't mean much for the game itself. Of course, they only spent time on one game, but at least that was a game everyone wanted to see.

Sony overall was the best IMO, lot of games, trailers and gameplays with no commentary thing taking time. Wish they had shown other games like Nier Automata too, but whatever.
Microsoft was a pleasure for me because every Xbox exclusive now is going to launch for PC too, and I always wanted to play Forza games.

The whole "winning E3" thing never really stuck with me. It's more about the long run and finding games you are interested in for me. This is from a guy with zero brand loyalty. This year, none of the E3's had any games that got my attention that I didn't already know about in some way. In fact, I was more angered by what Prey turned into. I loved the first Prey and was really excited to play a sequel Bounty Hunter game where you team up with the original protagonist of Prey. It could have been great, but it was cancelled for...whatever that was.

In terms of who "Won E3", I interpreted that as "Who had the best press conference?" and I voted for Sony. I usually find theirs to be the least interesting, but the game lineup impressed me and there was barely any talking or fluff compared to what Microsoft, EA, and Ubisoft did; just a conga line of demos and trailers that allowed the games to speak for themselves. As for the games that grabbed my interest... I liked nearly everything I saw from Sony's conference. The new God of War, Call of Duty: Anime Space Battle Warfare, The Last Guardian, Days Gone, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Death Stranding look great. The reveal of the PSX Crash games getting re-mastered put a smile on my face. I am more excited about the PS4-exclusive Spider-Man game than anyone reasonably should. In addition to it being developed by the fine folks at Insomniac, it looks like they nailed how Spider-Man's movements and abilities should look, Marvel teased that it was the beginning of things to come (a connected game universe, perhaps?), and I'm feeling good about Sony publishing the game since they were involved with my favorite version of the character. I haven't felt this excited about a Spider-Man game in a long time. Additional Spider-Man fanboy wishes, gushing, and speculation, have been spoiler'd so those who aren't interested or don't feel like reading it can just skip it. I hope Greg Weisman is involved with the game's story and treats it like an unofficial "Spectacular Spider-Man season 3". Even if he isn't involved, I'd be okay with that. The game looks cool as it is. But I'd love to see and hear Norman Osborn say "Don't apologize. I never do..." with a shit-eating smirk on his face just one more time, even if it's not part of the same continuity as the show.
The E3 trailer showed Mister Negative's henchmen! I thought that was kinda cool. If Sony, Marvel, and Insomniac are willing to include someone as recent as him in the game, I'd like to see them include other new or lesser-known characters and ideas from the comics, such as... -J. Jonah Jameson as the mayor of NYC and Peter Parker working at Horizon Labs instead of the Daily Bugle. -The Phil Urich version of Hobgoblin, Agent Venom, Massacre, Doc-Ock in his life support suit, and Paste Pot Pete as bosses. The world needs more Paste Pot Pete. Make it happen, Insomniac! -The cast of "Superior Foes of Spider-Man" being losers and trying to make their own version of the Sinister Six with just five members in the game's story, but featured in-game as a fight against multiple bosses at the same time.
I felt Zelda: BOTW was the most impressive game overall and it looks like it's going a direction I wanted the series to go for almost 10 years. Nintendo's Treehouse coverage was soooo long and there's so much demo footage from other sources. This is both a good and bad thing since there's plenty of details I still have to discover and lots of video to watch, but I feel overwhelmed by keeping track of it all. I also liked what I've read about the Telltale Games Batman series. I always end up enjoying their games, it's running on an improved engine, and I'm eager to see how they handle their own idea/version of Batman. I hope they include Ventriloquist! He's one of the best Batman characters and he hasn't been featured in anything lately. I'm also impressed by Dishonored 2. I liked the first game, I'm getting more of that, the story looks interesting to me, and I think the new powers look cool. South Park: The Fractured but Whole looks good. I like turn-based RPGs, South Park, and superheroes in general, so I owe it to myself to eventually play a turn-based South Park RPG that makes fun of superheroes in general. Plus, it's got PC Principal! You PC, bro? We Happy Few is on my radar now. When I saw the trailer during the Microsoft press conference I thought it was going to be Bioshock 3 set in the UK and made without Ken Levine. This is not a bad thing; I like Bioshock, welcome games similar to it, and WHF looks like it's bringing enough new ideas to stand on its own. Yooka-Laylee looks nice. I backed the game, I'm happy with what I saw from E3, and I'm looking forward to play a new collect-a-thon adventure game like the ones I grew up with. There wasn't a lot of information or gameplay for Mass Effect: Andromeda, but that series has a special place in my heart and I'm grateful for anything, even if it's years of constantly being teased with footage of developers working on the game during E3. Detroit: Become Human looks like the best game David Cage has made so far and I hope he knocks it out of the park. I'm also looking forward to watching the Super Best Friends Zaibatsu play it given their history with his games. There was also some sort of 2D Bloodborne sequel starring a girl that was shown off on a stream for about 15 minutes. I had no idea why there was a Japanese guy, some sort of sexy agent, and a 40-year old boy scout showing off the game, but I thought it looked cool even if I wasn't entirely paying attention. I'll probably forget all about it until next E3, though. Other games that I thought looked good: Lawbreakers, Giant Cop, Scalebound, ReCore, Gears of War 4, and Titanfall 2.

@goobsausage
Have you played the previous South Park game? It's pretty joyous.
Also all of Quantic Dream's games look like the best game they've ever made, but that doesn't amount to much in the end. Although Detroit legit looks like it's going to be their best so far, I can't help but predict disappointment.

Although Detroit legit looks like it's going to be their best so far, I can't help but predict disappointment. I haven't had a chance, but I heard good things about it and I'm thinking about taking advantage of the pre-order bonus for TFBH where you get Stick of Truth for free. And I'd have to agree with you. Quantic Dream's games always look good at first and I like story-driven games where all you have to do is push a button or move a joystick, but they've had so many shortcomings and end up being disappointing compared to games like Until Dawn or what Telltale Games puts out. I want to see Quantic Dream get their game right and succeed.

Until Dawn is the exact kind of game I always wanted Quantic Dream to make.
I hope that Detroit is the pique of their creativity, but that is a cautious hope.

The way I see it the long term is what matters. Sony is continuing to push their game wether or not is a little better or a little worse, they have the instal base, they're bringing the first and thir party games, they're doing good. The X Box clearly isn't the favorite between it and PS4 but it has its perks especially with slim version announced and at the end of the day, it's Microsoft so they're ok regardless. Then there's Nintendo. They had Pokemon Sun and Moon and the Wii U Zelda. I don't know how long it's going to do it for them to have only Nintendo guys like us supporting them and missing out on the more global market. From what am hearing about the NX and with the biggest evidence being Reggie's statement about it looks like they're still going to keep relying on their first party stuff. I really don't get if they just had the Nintendo version of the PS4 along with their exclusives Sony and Microsoft would become so much more irrelevant. They seriously can have the king position and they're not taking it.They seriously CANNOT afford to f up with the new console otherwise it will seriously be the beginning of the end for them and in 8 years time Mario could be the new IP mascot for Sony.

For me, it's Microsoft due to the Xbox Play Anywhere Program Since I'm only playing games on PC, that one immediately takes the cake for me
Though I do enjoy the conference of both Sony and Nintendo more than Xbox...

Who won E3? That's a tough one. Let's break it down.
Microsoft: Okay. They had a solid showing but nothing that blew my mind. Games are okay or looking interesting but nothing in terms of hype thrusters fuel. XBone slim, saw it coming years ago. Fat box first, slim box a few years down the road. Project Scorpio? I dread the price and if it's as powerful as everyone in Microsoft makes out to be, it'll make the 699$ PS4 look like pocket change.
Sony: Okay. Not gonna lie, I love the orchestra they had going. Norse God of War? Right in the feels man. Yeah. I love Norse Mythology. Horizon? Looks like a mash up between Tomb Raider, Skyrim, Mass effect dialogue and it looks like it blends in well together. This game is certainly on my radar. VR stuff. Um yeah. I can make do without the headaches or the steep price (and It'll only get higher in Canada). RE7? Yeah. I felt the creepiness even without the VR stuff and I approve. The folks at Capcom learned their lessons from Silent Hill (F@#$ you, Konami!). I can go on and on with Sony but bottom line, they had a really solid showing this year.
Nintendo: I actually like how Nintendo chose to have a very select focus this year. As for the pokemon stuff, I like how Nintendo went 'Let's get this stuff out of the way first'. That's not to say Pokemon is bad or anything though I shudder at all the rule 34 stuff the Internet will come up with now that we have a legit 4-way battle system now. Zelda BotW. FINALLY. A true Sandbox Zelda! And if Nintendo wasn't kidding about the demo being only a small part of the whole game, my jaw will probably never leave the ground. Bravo!
Bottom line. Nintendo gets my vote. Sony certainly had me a few times but nothing they had made me giddy like Nintendo did with Zelda alone.

yEAwn, Ubizzzoft nuff said, it was either boring or cringe, felt like everything was scripted to be awkward or bad in hopes of it becoming viral or the next meme
XBOneSScorpio4khdstreamboxtubewin10omgwtfbbqlulz left me with more questions than answers and i cant seem to find any answers anywhere with this new fake crossplay and i have the feeling im still getting screwed going to 10 since all my pc games are either physical and older than xbox, from battle.net or on steam and all my xbone games are physical except the online only ones and the forced digital like half of rareware
sony had a great showing, they had a bunch of games, i can see now why they showed a lot of the heavy hitters the week before because it was packed, they never stopped to go hey look at us were microsoft we have windows 10 upgrade to windows 10 win10win10win10win10 be sure to upgrade to windows 10, they had a bit of buildup, short thank you for being here, gameplay, trailers for days, gampelay, every speech was short, it wasnt trying to be funny or attempting to be the next meme or viral cringe video, and for once im actually interested in a cod game and didnt peg it for one until the name showed up
bethesda i agree with projared, it was a combination of thank yous, heres some updates and remasters, lets stroke our huge trophy dick inbetween, hey were doing vr now too, heres some news about our new eso and fo4 dlc, done
i hated that square and nintendo had stuff going on at the same time, luckily square had a bunch of retrospectives and a couple games i couldnt give 2 shits about like hitman and deus ex and tomb raider (not saying theyre bad, just doesnt interest me to watch an hour presentation on the history of tomb raider when i already have them all on steam), watched a tiny bit about ffxv but it was in japanese no translating so pointless, ff12hd was hype, missed ff14 and kh21.6.4.3.66.3.6.54.57.7.4.56.7..r4895738 whatever ill play it eventually after i finish the 12 other kh game compilations i have to get through >.<
nintendo delivered on all zelda, all day, and thereve been a couple times ive looked away or stopped a vid cause i dont want to get too far into spoiler territory, but holy fuck i wanna play it, its like zelda 1 came out of a wormhole and started tearing pieces off metal gear, dark souls, wind waker, and skyrim to make itself stronger, the other games were ok but im pissed at noa for fucking with tms more than necessary, pokemons just got way too many pokemon for me to even bother attempting to play it cause ill wana 100% it and silver kicked my ass even with gameshark and exploits
wish the bloodstained sectiond been a little longer, but i keep stopping the video when that one thing happens so im not spoiled on the demo how the fighting goes, so im withholding a lot of my hype for the demo itself, but im glad bloodstained had a strong showing and people got to try it, and hoping itll keep spreading so more and more people are waiting to buy it when it comes out ^_^

Sony's was the most interesting overall because it had the most games (although that GoW remake is a couple of years too late for my personal tastes).
Nintendo was a bit of a mess... but that Zelda, tho.
Microsoft was HUGE... if you're a PC gamer. If not, pretty meh.
Basically, Sony had a lot of smaller high points while Nintendo's wasn't so much a high point but a sudden 90 degree angle line to infinity, much, much higer than anything anyone else announced or did... but when you average them out, Sony got it this year, if you ask me.
