I got the latest in the second series of "portraits" of video game characters done in the style of older Japanese woodblock prints. qaantar.tumblr.com/post/144264069261/yay-new-woodblock-printThe title is 'The Price of Vengeance.' This second series has been more about newer games (though not always). I didn't recognize this one. Anybody have any ideas what character or game it's supposed to be? Heh, that was my thought as well, but kept from posting as I thoguht it couldn't be that simple. The outfit isn't a 1:1 of any of his that I'm aware of, either, but it is very Scorpion-y
Anyway, yeah I've considered getting the FF6 Terra one before. Cool to see it's still for sale if I do want to spring for that.

By the way, the wood carver recently put up a really interesting video on YouTube -- a bit of history on his own efforts, but centered around his involvement with a particular Japanese carver. It's about 30 minutes of storytelling -- not for everybody I realize, but I found it really quite interesting. He has a number of videos (including a fascinating series on recarving Hokusai's 'the great wave'), but apparently this particular one has taken off a bit on Reddit (with somebody calling him the love child of Bob Ross and Jim Henson, haha).
