Even though they probably aren't going to be in the game, I think a fun idea would be to have musical instruments as weapons. People like Edward from FFIV and Demyx from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 days comes to mind. :p

People like Edward from FFIV and Demyx from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 days comes to mind. that would be awesome as long as it has dual forms... like an electric guitar that can be used as an axe and a lightning conductor (a la CoD)

Or do they plan on having them have very different hitboxes/speeds, like giving swords slight arcs that can hit anything in front of Miriam and anything slightly above her immediate front, rapiers a single thrust that only hits right in front of it, and katanas and great swords giant arcs that can hit anything within a five mile radius? Well if you've ever played Aria of Sorrow or Dawn of Sorrow you would already know the answer to this. :3 Well I haven't.

Five miles, absolutely not. Though...in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, if you combined the Mercury DSS card with Golem, you got a a long whip that went across the whole screen pretty much. Who knows, maybe something like this will be implemented.

There's a real chance that familiars will have leveling though based on the demo, and hopefully that means they will expand their abilities like in SOTN. Like the SWORD Familiar being usable.

Just a random thought, I was wondering if the weapons them selves will have a LV and we can level them up by use... Now that is an interesting thought. It would certainly allow for the inclusion of "+1/+2" versions of weapons to an extent, at least in the form of improving existing weapons.

this may be a bit off topic, but upgrading weapons in my project may be partially the way iga will handle it. only time will tell if I am right though.
lower rank weapons, copper bronze iron etc, will be upgradeable to the next tier of that type for less material than creating one from scratch. ex: bronze sword > iron sword = 2 iron, 1 leather iron sword from scratch: 4 iron, 1 wood, 2 leather
higher rank weapon or unique(non craftable) will have +1/+2.
a couple days before the demo came out I thought of if shards would operate like sous, turns out I was right then. regaurdless of how iga handles crafting, this ismy thoughts on the matter and how APART will act. ------------------------
weapon submission: if weapons will have input moves, wil a flying kick be possible wiith boot type? I think it would be fun.

Yes, more Marsil love! The sound effect when you perform the weapon's ability has a satisfying reverberation. Sometimes, when no one is watching me play, I stand in an empty room and use the special over and over. Ah, good times.

^The explosion effect of Marsil was nice, yes... but I'd honestly prefer a Fire-Attribute Sword that can unleash a "Salamander"-esque effect as its special attack (like Charlotte's Salamander Spell in Portrait of Ruin).
