I find a lot of music videos from Babymetal to be very entertaining to watch. My daughter loves 'em! She got their first album on CD/DVD for her second birthday.  It was given by her aunt. We've probably heard/watched all the songs +7000 times.  |

While I dunno if AMVs are valid or not (then again, it DOES NOT say "official videos" anywhere,  ), there's one particular one that I love to watch every now and again, if anything because its synched to one of the best animes of all time (to me at least) AND the song is pretty darned good. Perhaps the only downside is that, once you see it, you can pretty much guess how the plot will go in the anime to begin with and it contains a HUGE amount of spoilers. If you've been on the net for some time, you're bound to remember this almost immediately. Sorry I'm not sorry for the nostalgia trip,

I still say that this is one of the most fun music videos to watch.
Oh, what I would give to have been on that set for that video shoot. It STILL makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up to this day.
All it takes is that first whisper. "I push my fingers into. My. EYES!" So many shows I've been to where that is all the prompt the audience needs and their right there with the band.

I've just got no words for how weird it is. It's cartoony, underwater, mermen, and they're punching sharks. When I first saw this I couldn't help but laugh and be in disbelief this was coming from them yet I've never enjoyed watching a music video so much because of its weirdness. Here's a new one from Opeth that's equal parts cheesy, trippy and awesome... While I recognize their talent (and it is *INCREDIBLE* talent), the only Opeth album I ever really cared for was Damnation. Growly, screamy metal just doesn't do it for me. This song, though, I like quite a bit. Akerfeldt doesn't sing often, but when he belts out and actually gets lyrical, oh my Lord he could melt the paint off a steel door. I love some of the stuff he's done with Steven Wilson / Porcupine Tree. EDIT: I guess I should add something relevant to the topic. Most of my favorite songs never got music videos, so here's some Panic! At The Disco to torture your eyes: |

gourryinverse Opeth actually stopped making death metal altogether as of a couple albums ago. You should check out Heritage and Pale Communion for their new style(which fluctuates between a cleaner version of their old riffing and a kind of retroprog). Here's an example from their last album(and it's even technically on topic since it's a video) Opeth - Moon Above, Sun Below
