I'm going to the SXSW Gaming Expo in Austin, TX this week. Normally it's Friday-Sunday, but this year it's from Thursday-Saturday. It's open to the public, a cool thing to do for a day (or days) if you live within reasonable driving distance, AND it's free! ...But you need to have a digital guest pass, chances are you'll most likely have to deal with Austin traffic, and parking is a nightmare. If you're going to be in the area and feel like saying hi, let me know on the boards in advance so we can work something out and meet in public. I'm too smart for strangers. |

I constantly wear my Alucard/Castlevania SOTN shirts to conventions, and spread both the Castlevania and Bloodstained fandoms when its commented on. I tend to stay in the Indiana/Kentucky/Tennessee area though, but if you run into me, please say hi! Just ask if I'm dimlitcandle. Speaking of in-person encounters...I have something planned for the community that I will post about in a bit. At the last con I went to, I attended a panel about con panels and it inspired me to do something...  |

I'm going to RTX this Saturday (and maybe Sunday).
Normally I would ask to arrange something in advance or share info via PM if you wanted to meet up, but it's probably too late to arrange anything since I got my hands on a badge at the last minute and I can't guarantee I'll be able to check the forums on mobile during the day.
If anyone else from the forums is attending and you feel like saying "hi", meeting up, or just want to hang out, I'd be okay with that since it's a large event with plenty of people (stranger danger!). If you're walking around Saturday and see someone wearing a Mario Kart 8 shirt, that might be me.

I'll be going to New York Comic Con this year with the girlfriend. Since NYCC doesn't happen until October, I'll try and post about this again when it's a lot closer, hopefully I'll see someone there. Who knows?

Anyone attending feel like meeting up at the con (or getting dinner somewhere near or around downtown if you're local and don't have a badge)? Fangamer Steve is going to be at the Fangamer booth and we could all get together and ask him in-person when the next Bloodstained Kickstarter update is coming... |

As purifyweirdshard knows, I also attend MAGFest. I won the VIP Package for next year at the Child's Play Charity Auction, so my ticket package is already set; all I have to do is get there in 2018. So yeah, if anyone wants to create a Bloodstained Fan Forums meetup at MAG next year, I'll be happy to attend. I doubt the atrium room I'll have will be sufficient for a large gathering, but I'll certainly try to meet up with anyone who wants to while I'm there. |

Not taking it too much out of context, but on another forum we talked a lot on another game a few years back, it was a Swedish site, even though many couldn't join, the meeting was a success.
I on the other hand, reached out, having beta-access to a guy I found to be very interested in the game. I offered him to play the beta if we could meet up. He declined the beta, but invited me to a LAN-party, I accepted. Since a few years back, he have become my best friend. We live very far apart, but have communications every day.
Sadly he is becoming very very sick (multiple sclerosis), and he doesn't have too long to do the stuff he likes in life. So with that said. Taking a trip to meet new friends is a one-in-a-life-time treasure! Anyone that feel they CAN should do it!
You gain so much from sharing a common interest.
