I'm not angry really, per se, but I do still feel a kind of hopeless exasperation towards the whole ordeal. It would be different if I wasn't as big of a fan as I was of Metal Gear and especially Castlevania. There are very few things period I like more than the Castlevania series, let alone a different group of games. The other one I really care for is in a situation not quite as bleak, but not great either (Valkyrie Profile).
You seem to be into a lot of different stuff, Goob, so I think it's probably easier to focus your attention to other places. The new relationship probably helps, too. My situation is a bit different.
Regardless...there is Bloodstained. There are also new things made that I actually like, too, which is nice. It unfortunately takes me a deal of effort to enjoy something nowadays.
The other are viewing them as "just a game" or "just a movie" or "just a book series" or "just a TV show" in order to keep things in perspective/not worry about them too much, and realizing some fun things are just meant to be temporary because either they change or our own tastes change as we grow older while still enjoying the time spent with them, both of which I realized during my own personal life experiences where I transitioned away from viewing gaming as the most important thing in the world to something that's pretty fun in a big ocean of stuff that's pretty fun.
Ever since I stopped focusing on gaming as my main source of entertainment, I've noticed that my outlook in life has improved, started enjoying other things more, started enjoying games more when I do play them, and stopped getting angry at little things like this that I would've been super upset over and taken personally five years ago. Not being in a perpetual state of anger or living in fear of change over the things I enjoy feels good.
