Favorite old game you'd like to see re-mastered & sequel of

I'm curious as to what everyone's favorite old game they'd love to see re-mastered and what old game they'd love to see get a modern sequel.
Most of the info is for folks who might not recognize a game you mention.

Remaster
Game Name: Guardian Legend
System: NES
Style: Hybrid LoZ RPGish and Top Down Shooter
New System: ANY
New Style: Hybrid 3rd Person Perspective Explorer w/RPG elements and StarFox 64 style shooter.


Sequel
Game/Series Name: Metroid
System of Last Release: Wii (at least I think prime 3 came out after Zero Mission...)
Most Recent Style: FPS (or 2D Platformer if Zero Mission is more recent...)
New System: Wii U
New Style: Bloodstained/SNES Super Metroid in HD
Additional: I wouldn't mind seeing multiple planets either sequentially or open (prefer open). Doesn't even have to be a lot.  Maybe 3-5 depending on world size. But I'd at least like each world to be no less than 1/2 to 2/3 the size of the SNES Metroid's map.  Not too terribly pick about the story so long as Samus is still the main character and the Space Pirates and the Chozo are still involved.  Would welcome additional characters, even playable characters.
