 Hey guys, One day, a gamming indie company called Mane6 tryed create a game based in the "My Little Poney: Friendship and Magic" show. But they get a hard "cease and desist" from de owners of the show... But with the unnexpected help from the lead developer on the rebooted My Little Pony series, Lauren Faust, the Mane6 create your own characters and with then create the new version of the "Fighting and Magic" game: now the "Them's Fightin' Herds" are born... almost. They create a IndieGoGo campaing to finish the game! The whole story behind the game reminds me of Freedom Planet (former fan game that turned into its own thing). I like these character designs even if you can sorta tell which characters were originally MLP characters, but I think the game will ultimately benefit from being its own thing. I'm also surprised that a lot of the more expensive tiers are selling out so quickly. Some Bronies out there must have a lot of money to spare. It might help the campaign if more slots were open since it looks like people are willing to go the extra mile and pay for the bonuses. EDIT: There's also a FAQ in the first update. |

As a guy who's been following Skullgirls/Autumn Games/Lab Zero for a while from struggle to struggle, heartbreak to heartbreak, hard earned victory to hard earned victory, I'm actually glad the brony community decided to give that game a shot. Even if it was mainly to nab the rights to the engine, those dudes are alright in my book. It was a shame about the cease and desist, but I'd have to have been born yesterday to NOT see it coming.
As for this game, while the pitch video could have been better(Have Lauren and the devs in the same room, perhaps?), I can see this game getting more than funded. I'll bet that it'll get funded by the end of the week. Anyone want to place bets?

In the faq, they say about the 6th character. The Skullgirl forun are beting in a Kirin!
Because:
The reptile eye in the rewards.
The chinese references in the tiers
Kirin can fly and can be a good replace for the pegasus Raibow Dash.

I swear if this "most dreaded and evil of predators" mentioned at 2:24 is human beings, I am going to be incredibly disappointed at the lack of creativity with the main villain. Its bad enough members of the brony fandom are anti-human in the show, almost as bad as furries are, but if that spreads to this project I honestly don't know what I'd do. Here's hoping they have t he creativity to not make humans the most 'evil of predators' like every other 'pro nature' series.
I have high hopes for this game, I want it to succeed, however if they pull a 'humans are most evil and vile race on the planet' rout I am going to lose interest in the project, as well as lose respect for Lauren Faust for being part of it.

I doubt a hunter with a shotgun will be the final boss given how the setting is a magical kid-friendly fantasy land and such an idea sounds like a bad youtube/newgrounds parody trying to be edgy. I feel the creative team is more creative than that. But that's quite the theory. A GAAAME theory! |

Already supported it anyway, I just prefer to game on my PS3/PS4 rather than my laptop if I can help it. More comfortable for my hands that way. I just hook a PS3 controller up to my laptop whenever I play games I think would benefit from it. Works great. EDIT: I guessed the game would get funded in three weeks. Looks like I was wrong. It's at the three week point, but it's only 2/3rds (66%) funded. I can see it meeting the initial goal due to a last-minute push, though. |
