castlevania and dragonball. they go together like peanut butter and jelly! or wait.. no they don't at all! =P
Anyway, I too found myself doing a double-take on the whole 'early castlevania was about metal music and gore' line. I don't know... I mean sure I can sorta see how early castlevania's music had metal elements at time, probably moreso than other music genre elements. But the dude kinda made it sound alot more profound and concrete than I feel it is....errr..and I kinda thought LATE castlevania had more gore than early =/

Pretty much. You can take just about any 8-bit tune and turn it into a metal, electro or orchestral piece while having it sound like a natural expansion to the basic tune. Meanwhile the spritework can be quite open to interpretation. Some games even have inconsistencies in the official art (see: Mega Man), so a player seeing things in their preferred way is hardly something odd. |

Not a peep, I'm afraid. Frankly though, that doesn't mean it's moving forward OR cancelled. Pre-production is a time-consuming and relatively boring (to the public at large) process.

Pretty sure this project is dead. If anyone really wanted to have cashed in, they would have made a Sorrow saga anime (that I would have watched, unfortunately, in it's likely cheese-laden glory as it is the most Jojo's Bizarre Adventure of all Castlevania).  But for a close relative, a Vampire Hunter D CGanime (like the new Berserk) is supposed to be in production for the US and Japan. Wonder where, channel or otherwise, they will debut it? Aside from other adaption disappointments, I did enjoy the Curse of Darkness manga for what little it was, though. I would have preferred a handheld/classic Castlevania manga however. SOTN's and the other Curse of Darkness manga were rare, Kojima gems.  Oh, and the little 4komas for the games they used to do were pretty funny. |

This is a thing, apparently: I know it's a fan production, and their effort should be applauded, but damn, that is some soap opera tier acting. Hell, I had thought the actress had some sort of speech impairment before realizing she was trying to do an accent. |
