I don't watch anime and I don't know this Adi guy so I wont be expecting much, particularly since as mentioned, other castlevania side projects have a habit of never seeing the light of day. But I'll certainly give it a shot if it comes out and hope for the best.

The explicit goal of making it gritty and hyperviolent and the idea that the early games' music evoked a "heavy metal electro guitar vibe" are comically off the mark to me.

Well, apparently Konami doesn't have much to do with it, so that's good...? The original games' music has certainly inspired a lot of rock and metal remixes, but in and of themselves, nah I wouldn't say they're metal. That music style does fit as well/better than anything else, though, save for horror movie fare, organd and whatnot. brusselsprouts, off topic, but what's your avatar from? |

I really hope this does well so that other IPs can get something similar. Metal Gear, for example, would fit very well with an anime styled show. If that IP is to ever continue, it should be that way since the Metal Gear Saga is already completely done.

I'm getting mixed feelings about this. While I have some prejudice with american animation for no reason at all (I have never seen a cartoon with stunning visuals like this), seeing my favorite franchise and characters getting an anime is enough to create some hype. Well let's see what happens. |
