I am really happy to know that there haven't been MGS5 spoilers rampaging about all over the net yet (at least, the places I often visit). Hopefully I will still be blown away by whenever I get it!

There's a lot to spoil too  Even if you don't manage to avoid spoilers I think there are still parts that will blow you away, but not knowing what's coming is best. |

Turn off the console right now!" I have the scissors 61 tanktop version. Met lots of good people by wearing it haha. You mean Konami can turn off MGS:Online at any time? I know they pulled the plug early-ish in the older MGS:Onlines. You could buy all the Online DLC for them but it wouldn't matter. I think they'd try to extend MG:O as long as they could though, especially if they are still working on releasing DLC items. |

MGS5 is not a service, it is a product. All online components of MGS5 are services, they can kill those at any time they please for any reason with absolutely no fallback (other than a lost investment). |

i think they got around that by calling the whole thing an "application", cause they have a seperate section down below for virtual currency and online aspects, if i can find a way to force the tos again ill take a pic
i actually really hope im wrong though

Regardless of what the Tos says it doesn't make a difference. It could say "in exchange for this service you owe us your firstborn child" but that of course wouldn't hold up at all legally. Naturally there isn't some sort of ToS committee to oversee these things so they can realistically put in whatever they want regardless of their intent or ability. Many tos documents have things about copyright infringement and the like. It isn't so that random people won't make fanart (unless you're Kojima hosting it on twitter), but to protect them in the future if something dire were to pop up.
And the fact is they wouldn't be able to "kill" the game. The most they could do is send out an update that renders the game unplayable, all people would have to do is forego any updates and reinstall their game.
The worst that could possibly happen would be Console updates rendering it unplayable, but that's a shot to the head for both systems and neither would ever agree to it.

Not too surprising. MGS has never had the biggest fan base, and it's made worse with how Konami has been splitting up and disregarding their fans this past year. Newcomers may also feel put off by this due to how it's the last in the series.

i want this game so bad, but i must resist until i get my ps4. Do you still have a ps3/360? I heard the texture pop-in was bad on Ground Zeroes on the last gen stuff. I would assume TPP would also suffer from that but I don't have firsthand knowledge. That being said if getting a ps4 is going to take a while, BUY IT NOW last gen! lol |
