I love my Wii U and have always been a big Nintendo supporter so if NX ends up being their next home console I'm going to get it. Simple as that. This. Plus, the games I'll only be able to get on the NX. Zelda and Metroid for starters. I just hope they trim down the video on demand and other add-ons. Most television companies are going to smart TVs that have Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu, YouTube, etc already built into the TV. Nintendo needs to make a gaming device that plays games and that's it--literally. The last thing I need is ANOTHER device connected to my TV that can stream movies. I mean, I can watch Netflix on my blu-ray player, smart TV, game home console, handheld gaming device, tablet, PC, fire stick, and probably some others I can't think of right now. I think the NX can and will turn around Nintendo's situation in the home console market if they handle its design correctly.

Wiiu is still a very capable console because they target 60fps gameplay, while they're not technically marvelous, they're still easy on the eyes with the titles they create. And fun!

Unfortunately it's company image. Their main issue is them creating an unfriendly environment for third party devs.

Unfortunately it's company image. Their main issue is them creating an unfriendly environment for third party devs. If indie publishers are to be believed they have been quite friendly and open towards third parties.

In 2017 I imagine even more people will have Wii U. Personally, I really like the console, it is my favorite Nintendo home console after SNES. The gamepad will be an amazing addition while playing the game, if we can see the map all the time or change weapons and stuff.

Their main issue is them creating an unfriendly environment for third party devs. If indie publishers are to be believed they have been quite friendly and open towards third parties. Never argued whether or not their attitude towards devs was of questionable quality and I'm not really informed enough to say anything for or against them in this regard. All I know concerning this is that they have been awful during the last gen and as far as I know they could have improved considerably. The environment, however, doesn't just include the attitude factor. The main problem is the subpar system specs of the Wii U which make it an unprofitable enterprise for the majority of devs as far as current gen multi-releases go. Other big issues include them insisting to keep devs in the dark when it comes to new consoles (Wii U could have gotten plenty of ports early on if devs were give a heads-up) and failing to provide any proper initiative to develop on their console (apart from Platinum). This is a shortened version on why it's an unfriendly environment, as I'm not really in the mood to summarize the last few years of Ninty's business handling.

I am intrigued by possibilities of the game pad for the WiiU version. I will be getting the WiiU and/or NX version of Bloodstained.
