an actual easy mode: I've yet to get off the first area after > 3 hrs, and it would be lovely to see the rest of the game... I think it's more of a guidence problem. In what sense? It's arguable that any difference in skill is, to some extent, a guidance problem, but that doesn't prevent there being a hard mode and a normal mode and a nightmare mode...

Fixed loot bags comes to mind as being at the top. Next would be more unique areas with new monsters and bosses. As others have said, some of the bosses are silly easy because of how they attack. I also think some bosses have a lot of HP just to try and wear you down. So more of the cool bosses would be amazing. Cool bosses include ones like Vepar, Bloodless and Zangetsu.

Would like the team to add the ability to adjust screen size to fit your TV screen. Didn't find this in the options menu and the image is currently a little cropped for me at the moment. Playing the PS4 version of the game. Would appreciate if Angel-Corlux or Question could look into this. Thanks.

Settings on PC - Enable Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 buttons for control settings - Add an option to separate shard bindings from menu controls
Shortcuts - Add basic button prompts to use slotted items. Example: User chooses Potion and Panacea, and while the shortcut menu is up let you use "Button A" to use Potion and "Button B" to use Panacea. | Could even tie this to Familiars - Tie Miriam's cosmetic appearance to shortcuts, such as hairstyles. (This is not as important as the rest of these)
Stability - Improve on hiccups. On PS4 the game loves to freeze briefly after killing an enemy or getting a critical hit. This is not a crucial dilemma, but it docks the game some points to be completely honest. - Improve on crashes. When you die because it's your fault then it hurts but you take that lesson with you. When you crash and lose hours of progress even though you never put yourself at risk of dying, that hurts even more.
Appearance - Add option to remove visual effects on permanent white shards (no need to remove them on passives). Best if on an individual level but blanket wide is better than nothing.
Gameplay - Give the circle button literally any purpose.
Bloodstained ROTN is 10/10 material. I've fallen in love with the game, and already gotten my Platinum, and moving onto PC. Despite all these circumstances that I think could be improved, I am happy with the product I've gotten and the project I backed. That said, some crucial things hold it back from being a true 10/10, and that's mostly stability. Perhaps I'll have a better experience on PC, and perhaps I'll decide that score once I'm finished with it.

If we're doing this, then... Bugs: * There's a thread set aside for this, but one bug (the bag bug) has already been mentioned here. So, if discussing pervasive bugs that most players are likely to encounter, I'd add: Flame Cannon (and potentially other pink shard abilities) frequently gets stuck if cast in midair. In a long session of continual use of this ability, this problem is easily reproducible. The animation comes out, but not the ability. This forces me to spam the trigger button to (mostly) ensure that I get the spell out. Content: * I half expect that this is already planned for DLC, but... More endings. Especially at least one ending where most or all of the main cast is still alive in the end, including Alfred and even Dominique . I was surprised that this wasn't already in the game, but figure that, yeah, it's probably planned. * A master difficulty setting that is designed specifically to challenge fully-leveled players. Not to be hopelessly impossible, but to force players to become aware of elemental resistances, and to establish builds for specific bosses and areas of the game out of sheer necessity. And some sort of token acknowledgment when they manage to beat this mode, such as a differently-colored "clear" star indicating as much. Something more than simply head canon. Visuals: * Cosmetic armor slots that duplicate the regular armor slots. The regular slots are fitted with armor for their stats, but anything put into the optional cosmetic slots overrides the in-game visuals. * Support for true supersampling, as opposed to Unreal Engine 4's fake (.INI-based) supersampling (which sucks) or desktop-based supersampling (which causes the game's menus to be blurry). * The option to either DEFEAT the POST-PROCESS BLACK OUTLINES or to turn on ANTI-ALIASING for said effect. Currently, this post-process effect is added after Unreal Engine 4 renders the regular visuals, and this includes anti-aliasing, even supersampling. So no matter what setting one picks or forces with an .INI file, this black outline comes in on anything that moves -- Miriam, NPCs, bags, coins, etc. -- and destroys its edges with non-aliased black stairstepping. So not only does this tend to make anti-aliasing almost completely pointless, but it also introduces extra unwanted effects on subtler details. Take a look at what it does to this poor guy: So, yeah, either let us turn this off, or, probably more ideally, actually enable some kind of anti-aliasing for the effect. It is the #1 item keeping Bloodstained from looking as good as it could. Other: * Proper subtitles for the Japanese mode of the game, as opposed to the transcript of the English dub, which is patently useless due to its perpetual inaccuracies. * Someone to proofread the English text. It's mostly good (ignoring completely the fact that it is a travesty of localization), but there are a few gaffes here and there that stick out. * Perhaps the option to choose English/Japanese on a voice-by-voice basis. Solid examples of why: The English voice for Anne is... bad. I get that not all studios are able to hire someone who either sounds like or is a little girl, but when a 30-something is tasked with trying to do this, on top of a fake English accent, the result is unavoidably cringe-worthy. On the flipside, OD's voice can be none other than Belgrade; the Japanese counterpart is simply no substitute. And I also love Benjamin's voice.

Secret ending proposal: Step 1: Zangetsu will give you a paper charm shard after the train section, which prevents Alfred from escaping during the boss battle (must use it to successfully hit him). You can then talk to Johannes who will agree to meet with Alfred at a position where Dominique cannot follow you. Step 2: Fight Zangetsu and he will still give the sword to you. Board the train and you will find the two Alchemist there as well, who will devise a plan to save Gebel. Step 3: Go find O.D., who will claim he don't know if he wants to betray Gremory and test you. The boss fight ensues with the same difficulty as the Glacial Tomb one. Then Johannes will come in and spend a bit of time in the Library. Step 4: Head back to the red moon room, where the three will set the trap for Gremory. Step 5: Go fight Gebel, which then cause Gremory to appear. Slash her with Zangetsuto. Johnnes will remain here to tend to Gebel. Step 6: Gremory will escape to the trap which you will be both sucked into the Den of Benemoth. You must fight a giant Gremory. Hopefully you have crafted High Jump. Step 7: Dominique tries to sneak attack Alfred but was wounded by Zangetsu instead. Step 8: Gremory uses her last breath to pull in a weakened Dominique into the Den of Benemoth, and a horde of giant demons are about to pour out, which you, recovered Gebel, Zangetsu and Alfred will repel. Step 9: Alfred then heads back to the village with Johannes and scold him for inexperience. Many new recipes are opened up and Alhest costs significantly reduces. Gebel is also here resting. Step 10: Chase Dominique through the Den of Benemoth into the Glacial Tomb. She will be used as a sacrifice and the fully powered Beal is summoned into this world, (a chamber directly below the centre of the Garden) and he is absolutely massive. Step 11: You find a weakened Dominique, and only Johannes is willing to save her. However O.D. shows up and heal her. However, his real goal here is to recover the book Miriam didn't return, and said Demons do not enjoy being summoned against their will. Step 12: The two Alchemists send the entire castle back, and Dominique survives but broken, both physically and mentally. Zangetsu reclaimed his sword and said he is going to mercy kill Dominique, but got stopped but the trio who had a change of heart. But we all know this can never happen.

If Konami is suing IGA, then that would be a really bad move. Konami would simply make themselves look even more bad.

Make sure your tv's ratio is set to auto/full and not 16:9 and you can increase/decrease the screen size on the Ps4 system.

Just want to point out there's a fair number of older people that voice children characters. Fairly popular characters at that, both on the Japanese side as well as the English side.
I didn't really have a problem with Anne. I could venture a guess at what the problem with Anne is, but I personally think it was well done.

I forgot one item.
* The ability to turn off controller vibration for only critical hits, leaving it on for everything else. It's a nice feature but stops being meaningful (and drains the hell out of the battery) when it happens multiple times per second because crit chance is through the roof.
Edit: Another:
* Higher-quality menu assets. Most of the menu assets are so heavily compressed that there are superpixellation artifacts all over the place. Sure, consoles need this for better loading times and lower ram usage, but not everyone is stuck with a console.

2. Challenge mode. Beat a specific section with limited shards and equipment option and only a handful of set recovery items. I really think that this could be interesting... there are so many fun combinations, weapons and shards, but a lot of them get overruled by more powerful shards, and leveling up kinda make some interesting enemies and enemies formations totally irrelevant. Also i would love love, LOVE if they ever release a map editor on the pc. is really simple editing maps on UE4... and with some of the tools they probably developed, there are lots of areas that can be make. Finally.. i would really like an actual paid expansion to the game and the castle. New meaningful areas (with new music), new enemies, and maybe even a different progression trough the castle. Also... i would love if music is added to the castle's 2 silent areas ._. (village and train station) and maybe another one to one of the labs. Plus points if they are Curse of the moon tracks reworked to fit ritual of the night. Focalor patch post launch would also be welcome- (and a little extra polish to some of the later areas like the fire cave and the ice cave, even if they just reuse assets in clever ways)

The only worth while weapons end game are Oracle Blade, Moon Katana, Not Crissgream and Guns. Some shards are outright useless though. That said Nightmare should change your mind.
Once all dlcs are out. Honestly it should be possible to make something akin to Mario Maker, with some serious effort, or at least a stage swap. Other wise this game can open up a bit to modding. I am seeing Skyrim's level of modding if the devs are willing. Too bad consoles will never get them.
With a new Character, perhaps? Maybe an arena where the Challenge mode happens. Also need a Casino area.
Train one is honestly a bit underwhelming or rather confusing. Remixing should however fix that. I think the village should just use the standard shop one, though it could use brighter lighting as you rescue more people. Moon boss's awesome final boss theme in Curse of the Moon was no where to be found.

For the PC version: Second screen support to render the map on a second screen if one is plugged in. NDS Castlevania style.
As an optional thing of course.
