I don't do pc gaming, so I guess I dodged that bullet if they really are as bad as every says they are. I feel really bad for pc players for once, despite always being trolled/flamed by them over being a console peasant/
Most of these have already been announced, but that Code Vein one has me curious.

Spoilers, More links from two users who so far have indeed been on point. Draw your own conclusions from this: Ah, Vergeben, one of the key people in the "new Castlevania" theory... I hope it's a new Castlevania and not a new Contra, personally, even though I do like Contra. But a half-baked Contra would be a terrible decision right now. Metroid 5 as a 2D game I would not be surprised about. I think Mercury Steam's efforts were appreciated and the plans to do a post-Fusion story have been in the works forever, way back to the cancelled Metroid Dread. Actually, I think I recall the de facto Metroid producer saying he'd like to work again with Mercury Steam on an all-new entry down the line.

"A new Contra" has been a bad idea more often than a good one, and "not-great looking isometric 3D" added to that does sound extremely believable. haha we'll see
I'm quite sure the demand for a new CV game is higher (and I think there's more they could do with CV), but the Contra mobile game was first so there's that?

I think the Wii would have been a good system to relaunch Contra on. The Wii Remote would have allowed the free-aiming necessary for enemies all around you and above you in full 3D, while the Nunchuck would have allowed freedom of movement and jumping. But oh well. I hope they don't embarrass the brand if they do something new.

As for Xenogears...that's probably related to a Twitter thing where one of the creators of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 posted about Nintendo's E3 schedule, I think. We'll know soon enough. |

The Final Fantasy VIII remaster was real after all: Not gonna lie, I am super excited about this specifically. Literally my favorite and first Final Fantasy is getting a remaster and is releasing later this year. Feel pretty ecstatic about this news.
If they release it in September 9th to coincide with the games anniversary WorldWide release that would be even better for I share my birthday with that date. |

Final Fantasy VII Remake: I gotta say, not interested in FFVII, but this e3 trailer is making me reconsider, they put a LOT of effort into making this and it was coming earlier than I thought as well. FInal Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers: Thanks for reminding me that I can't play FFXIV, really appreciate it...  On another note, My E3 highlights so far were. Cristales: So glad it's coming, I saw this years ago and was curious about it, though i'm the only who remembers it. Brave Earth: Prologue: This looks like Castlevania, need I say more; though the I wanna be the guy creator moniker has me terrified. Final Fantasy VII Remake: Already gave my thoughts on this. Here's praying that Nintendo doesn't disappoint this year! |

Sadly, it's not a full remake.It's not multipart, like the FF7 remake, which is nice. Have to wait at least 1-2 years between each part (2-4 parts?) just to finish the Final Fantasy 7 remake story which is bogus. |

The Contra game looks....ok. Better than I thought it would, but not "good" either. Baby steps, as it goes. I'd rather them cut their teeth on making new games again with that than the CV franchise.
