Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Okay, this is interesting from a Kickstarter perspective. Yooka-Laylee's Kickstarter launched around the same time as Bloodstained, and one of its stretch goals was vague DLC expansions at some point in the future. Today, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair was announced, but it is reportedly a separate project from the Kickstarter DLC and does not use Kickstarter money. The DLC is still coming, though without any specifics, but this will come first. Apparently it's a 2.5D platformer like Donkey Kong Country Returns, but with a forced-camera, interactive 3D overworld between stages, somewhat like the main focus of Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge for the GBA. It looks great, but this announcement, in light of the Kickstarter promises, is weird. It'd be like if IGA made a completely new Bloodstained spinoff before almost any of the post-launch DLC was released. Honestly, I don't know if this is supposed to be Yooka-Laylee 2 or just a spinoff.
