I especially found this tidbit too be highly interesting:
The book IGA looks at in towards the end describes a new special skill with this text.
Helm Breaker With a leap forward, slash down while aiming for the head
Weapons: Honebamitoshiro Kajiki (Swordfish)
I'm guessing this is a Katana skill? The Honebamitoshiro is a famous Naginata that was remade into a Wakisashi from what I can find, so I guess it could also be a spear or possiby a short sword.
I find it really interesting that the skill lists specific weapons here. I guess that indicates that skills will be weapon specific, and not weapon type-specific as I believed before.
Somebody pointed out that they showed off that techniques have a 'mastery' meter you can fill with them. What I'm *hoping* for is that filling these mean you unlock attacks for all weapons of that type rather than just being locked to specific weapons.
But it's possible mastering them will just make the moves better somehow.

Clear Actually, カラボス is not "Calibus" - it's " Carabosse" Don't hesitate to google the original name. Also 006 is not "Dullahan", it's "Dullahammer". Regarding the translation of オードッグ - all I see is a nickname "O-Dog". I have no idea what this enemy can be. Oh wow, I was totally off on Carabosse! Thanks for the link! Goes to show how much I know my fairy knowledge Yep, it definitely is obviously Dullahammer *sigh* I will update my table in a few minutes with the corrections. オードッグ is a toughy. I also saw "O-Dog" but I don't think Iga would just slap on some nickname on an enemy. It seems to be " something Dog". "Ordorg"? Aaarg The "O-" part, after looking at it, I thought of おう immediately since what else can make sense as a representation. My mind suddenly went to trying to decipher a genuine Japanese name instead of western-sounding name like the others on the table. If possibly the name contains something like a katakana representation of a Japanese word, then "dog" might be どうぐ which is a bit more useful although really off. This would then imply that the enemy is some inanimate object brought to life with a demon's soul or something. But looking more at it I am more comfortable thinking that literally it would actually be どっぐ. This generally means nothing unless there is some Japanese cultural/historical nuance I'm totally not getting and flying over my head. I'll be more than happy to be proven totally wrong on so many ways and so many levels

Literally nothing comes out except movie/series/videogame characters with "O-Dog" nickname. It's either this or totally new and unknown word. And I'm almost sure, that it's not a "native" Japanese word by a long shot. Actually, to be honest, I feel that this enemy can be some "rogue" or "brigand" enemy of sorts. P.S. Morte cannons are those "posessed" cannons from Galleon Minerva.

Omfg, looks like a bullseye! You've just found a demonic creature never mentioned in Japanese internet before Check it out, Clear I've even found an example of usage. It's a name of some character in this case, transcribed as "Ordog". Actually, I haven't found a cultural inspiration for "Plume Parma" enemy too... I mean, there is a spawn of Medusa who is a winged boar, but its name is totally different.

Morte cannons are those "posessed" cannons from Galleon Minerva. I really am thankful for your help in translating the names and really respect your Japanese knowledge. Me, I've so far taken a few classes including basic conversation over many years and have practiced writing thousands of kanji over a two-year span recently, trying to write out 10 kanji per week for all that time. And currently on a daily basis I tune in to NHK radio news and try my best to listen and understand what broadcasters are saying other than, for one, picking up / zoning in on the conversation cadence. The goal to be completely fluent in Japanese has shaped up to be a long and arduous journey for me. And I'm OK with this. But back on topic, it will be interesting to see after I pick up my NA/US copy of Bloodstained and then some game play there is literally a bestiary entry of a bandit-like enemy spelled out letter-by-letter as.... "O-Dog" Edit: Saw your post and gunlord500's find regarding Ordog! Well, well!! What do we have here? Wilhelm Ordog? That calls for an update! And thank you for the tip on Morte Cannons. I took out my foolish statement from my post

Galamoth Sure has been hasn't it Here is the updated table which is pretty much roughly golden by now. Most of the names should be 100% one-to-one with the rest fairly accurate. I've upgraded each entry to include its original source kana representation to go by in case this table needs to be revisited any time soon. I chose this method instead of re-pasting a footage image for making a more concise post. And welcome to the forums miraihi! My heart is literally beating hard from hype at reading this right now, I cannot WAIT for this game!!!
